Among other reasons, people who think they are the opposite sex than what they were born as are not well psychologically.
Your understanding of transness as a whole is very poor.
https://www.the-scientist.com/features/are-the-brains-of-transgender-people-different-from-those-of-cisgender-people-30027 it can be as much a physiological condition.

that's one reason, trans gender people often also have parts of the brain more like the gender they feel is right for them. The brain can literally be trapped in the wrong body, this has serious science behind it.
I'm sure there are exceptions, as we can see in the rest of intersex biology, but there is no way this many people are born with the 'wrong' brain / body.

Nah, it's not poor at all. Those people you refer to as acknowledging that they are not actually the opposite sex but just wish they were is the exception rather than the rule, imo. And even if most trans people did acknowledge that they are not actually the sex they are pretending to be there are still other reasons for not letting them serve in the military.
I want to stress again, that I don't hate transsexuals at all. As I've said several times before, there are some I've seen that pull off as being the opposite sex quite well (like Mia Isabella, for instance; I think she is fine as f***) and are attractive to me and I would even go along with calling them their preferred pronouns but I still say they have no place serving in the US military.

Originally posted by Old Man Whirly!Yeah, I know the ****ing science, man. Sorry, but this is something I have done excess research on. Of course trans people's brains are different. Of course many of them will be similar to female brains.
actually it isn't silly its Science.
But it is a lot more than that. Sexually biology and upbringing based on what sex a person is is imperative here. A brain can change due to mental illness. You know that schizophrenic brains are different to one without schizophrenia, right? Depressed brains are different, too. This is a recurring trait in brains of people with specific mental conditions.

I'm pretty sure Q still lurks though. Maybe we'll get another post someday.

Yeah, I miss Q99. I disagreed with her on some characters/fights, but it was always a good discussion. I could've sworn she revealed herself as female somewhere, which is why I switched to those pronouns. Admittedly, I haven't been totally consistent there, having also done what DDM did and just used Q99 for most of the time. I wasn't entirely sure how to handle it, and I had no idea she's trans, if DDM is right.I'm pretty sure Q still lurks though. Maybe we'll get another post someday.

Q is trans? She used to post in the comic forums a lot, which is mostly where I knew her from. I always thought she hid her gender because we hadn't quite grown out of the sexist shitposting yet.She was also one of the only other X-23 fans and she left me all alone when she disappeared. 🙁
I didn't even see this - it got lost in the sea of shitposts.

Indeed. Good people.
In an ideal world, we don't know or even care what Q99's biological sex was at birth - just whatever gender stuff Q99 says we should use.

Well, what are these other reasons? If they can pass a competency test, then what?
Well, for instance, how would the transgender's presence affect the other military personnel serving alongside him/her? Would his/her presence make them feel uncomfortable and therefore affect their ability to do their job to the best of their ability?
Would the transgender be entitled to his/her own bathroom (called "the head" in the Navy; I think the other branches call it "The Latrine"😉? What about shower accommodations and sleeping accommodations? If a female transgender wanted to sleep and shower in the same area as the biological females how would that make the actual females feel? Or should all transgenders have sleeping, shower, and bathroom accommodations built specifically for them? That would be quite expensive to do that and we already spend too much on the military budget as it is.
Would the military personnel serving alongside the TS be forced to use the TS's preferred pronouns? For some, that might not be an issue but for others especially some who might have strong religious beliefs they might resent that. Would the TS get special treatment from the officers above him/her? If so, again, that might cause resentment among those serving alongside her/him and maybe even affect their ability to do their job to the best of their ability.
I'm sure there's a host of other problems that would come with allowing TS's to serve in the military. Those are just off the top of my head.
IMO, LGBTQ people have no place in the military. If they were let in, eventually our military would be weakened as a whole from it. Little by little , more of the sjw shit would start to creep in and weaken our fighting forces as a result of it. It wouldn't surprise me if , eventually, the LGBTQ folks would start demanding that our ships and bases start flying the LGBTQ flag as well lol.
It's best to not give in an inch because, as we've seen over and over again, once they (LGBTQ community) get an inch they end-up taking a mile, then another mile, then another. Then, the next thing you know, our military is turned into a joke that cares more about catering to the sjw folk than protecting our country.

This is just the same shit as gay people in the military. It has nothing to do with the people themselves, just the ideological position you assume these people to be a part of.
These things are largely pretty easy to work around. You do realise LBG and TQ+ people are like, people, right? So they can be dealt with in human ways. It's not that hard. You ever met some butch lesbians? They're hard as ****.

Oh, I'm sure that if Trump loses the election (which I don't think he will despite what the fake polls say) then Q will finally conveniently appear soon afterwards lol. I'm sure he/she is still too embarrased to show himself/herself after he/she was proven to be so very wrong from the 2016 election. He/she was talking trash about right-wingers on the exact election day then after Hillary got her butt kicked she/he conveniently disappeared lmao.

I don't agree with gays being able to serve in the military either, scribble. Which is why I specifically brought up LGBTQ community in my post.

Here is just as good a place as any to do this: lets explore this animus towards DDM you have.
What did he do to you? I'm being serious. It can't be the gaslighting you accuse him of, since if that really bothered you then you wouldn't be so close to Rob and Bash.
So what happened?
