Meh. I get that it's all stupid, but the Hollow Earth stuff took it to far for me. It's simply what broke my suspension of disbelief.

Hollow was indeed a step to far.

But the jump in technology was the worse for me, because the world didn’t look technologically savvy as a whole.

This film was just bad, borderline awful.

Y’all are such critics 😂 stop overthinking it and just enjoy the movie

the movie NEVER really gave a clear who would really win. Kong was drugged and at a disadvantage in the ocean. The second fight told you that all it took was for kong to have an equalizer and the right ground to fight in to win. That last godzilla rampage was some other shit but he clearly had to give all he got to make it happen because he got his ass scraped by mechG real quick. Kong was also gimped the whole movie trying to make sure jia was protected.

Kong was on anesthesia on the ship. They needed him sedated the whole time so he wouldn't try to get free. There isn't one indication that he wasn't on anesthesia anymore by the time Godzilla showed up. But even besides that, they are one and one in the city. Kong won one and Godzilla won one.

Someone’s in denial 😂

It’s been confirmed Godzilla was the winner. As if it wasn’t obvious enough.

👆 it was pretty much what I expected and as such I enjoyed it.

This was a lot more Kong focused than I assumed it would be. That’s ok though, Kong is a lot more sympathetic of a character than Gojira

Definitely a sequel to Skull Island.

Godzilla's had one more movie for development though. And this is the only movie that really explores Kong in relation to the Kaiju, so makes sense it would focus mainly on him.

Made Godzilla out to be a force of nature by comparison.

I had fun watching. The fights were entertaining as hell.

Unlike Doom Eternal's non entertaining hell.

It's a movie about a giant lizard vs a giant gorilla vs a giant robot lizard with the brain of an alien three headed dragon.

WTF are you expecting?

You all need to quit menstruating and accept facts that it's a popcorn monster movie.

Sounds like Kong fans are butthurt.

Like Dragon Ball fans losing to Superman.

I preferred Kong’s portrayal in the monsterverse, compared to Godzilla’s but I thought Godzilla winning the final fight was fair, as the movie was basically Kong’s story, entirely. Not to mention Kong getting all the shine in the fight with Mecha Godzilla.

👆 Exactly and for that it delivers.

Agreed.

They won't replace the classics, or especially the 2k slobberknockers, but they're fine editions to the franchise.

I agree. While I didn't really care who won but there should be an asterisk on Godzillas victory. Kong was drugged also when they got to Antarctica as well.

Godzilla is the king!
