As expected/predicted, many Republicans (especially the old guard) are setting themselves up to distance themselves from licking Trump's ass and protecting Trump over the last four years. Sorry, but you bought and cared for him, you own Trump now and forever.

I still don't see enough Republican senators voting Trump out though, they'll be a handful, but they need 2/3rds majority to convict, so that's around 17 or 18 Republicans if all Democrats vote to convict. Will be interesting to see though.
