I don't remember him ever treating Whis bad.

I dont like the inconsistenty so that Beerus can stay at the top.

It's just laughable now how little power Beerus would have had to use in battle of the gods.

The point where it's a joke. If he can casually one shot spiritual training super blue vegeta, what the hell kind of joke was BoG supposed to be ?

Akira Toriyama has been pretty blatantly ripping off other anime, as Granola's power up is exactly what happened to Gon in HunterXHunter. Only difference is Gon did it by force of will, and needed the deus ex machina wishing machine plot device to reverse the death clock, instead of initiate it.

In the case of Beerus, I'd guess he watched a lot of Baki the Grappler, and noticed how Baki's dad is somehow far more powerful then anyone else in the series, no matter how many ridiculous feats these lesser characters pile up.

Like, punching over the statue of liberty and punching at mach 200 speeds, or causing earth quakes, it all goes into "Yeah, but you can't touch Baki's dad".

In the manga there power hasn't skyrocketed like it has in the anime though. The base level of Gokou and Vegeta wouldn't oneshot everyone in the manga. They have to be Blue and higher to do such.

Anime doesn't have the highs manga does either. Vegeta training on Yardat, Goku mastering MUI.

Vegeta did no better against Beerus now, then he did before the ToP in the manga. If anything, he looked worse, at least he scored a hit on Beerus in the first spar.

It's pretty ridiculous.

Vegeta learned new abilities on yadrat, not so much of a boost in overall ki. Which are abilities that don't help against Beerus. Also, we know that a Beerus can oneshot him. So him doing better than he did, from a lucky shot when Beerus was playing around and not actually trying, would be weird.

meh He was only granted HIS particular Potential level, doesn't mean he's more powerful then Either Goku or Vegeta. Unless you Can prove HIS SPECIFIC Potential is greater then the level they at currently.
The whole point of Granolah's wish was to make him *the* most powerful being in the universe... Not the third most powerful or w/e.

Hence the "condition" Granolah had to agree to in order for the Dragon to successfully grant his wish.

It is pretty lulz to think about how much Beerus would have been suppressing his power during BoG in order to make it seem like he was actually exerting himself against n00b-SSG Goku.

We'd literally be talking about infinitesimal micro-fractions of his true power... In a battle that was threatening to destroy the entirety of U7. Heh.

So, what do you say, Galan?

1) Beerus was always that uber

2) Beerus was training in secret, Kamesennin style

?

The ki polishing implied a signficant boost.

Which literally made no sense anyway. Cause Gokou stopped the destruction by whatever means, but how does that compare to Freeza fighting Vegeta? They would be throwing out more power, but they wouldn't have the same random way to punch right to not do the same. Or Beerus vs Champa.

Back when BoG was first released, Tori stated in an interview that he didn't have plans for Goku/Vegeta to surpass Beerus, and he's evidently still sticking to that. Despite the gargantuan increases the Saiyans have made since BoG, Beerus is still just...More powerful(nonsensical as it seems)... He's on an asinine sliding scale where power is concerned -- the stronger Goku and Vegeta become, the more powerful Beerus is inextricably written.

Granted, I've always argued that Beerus > Jiren(even before all of the 'revelations' we've gotten in the manga), but I never suspected they'd go THIS far with his power, lol.

During his fight with Beerus in BoG, Goku 'learned' how to throw God-level strikes without causing massive collateral damage. So perhaps that could be why we haven't seen that level of collateral damage since(even though they're operating on a vastly higher level now)..? Dunno.

Either that, or Tori realized he couldn't keep using high-end collateral damage to convey a sense of power, because he also wrote a very finite multiverse that would have went kablooey by the Zamasu arc if he had kept it up.

Yea, Gokou learned. So Beerus and Champa should have been throwing the punches that destroy everything since Beerus never learned it.

tbh, I still cant get over how broly wtfpawned both goku and vegeta sans fusion, thanks for that galan. didnt quite catch whis comments sometimes

You're misreading The Dragons Statement, The Dragon stated what it can only do for him. Here:

If Goku learned how to throw strikes without leveling the universe minutes after reaching God-level power, I'm certain Beerus also knows how to do so.

That said, Beerus and Champa's fight would have wiped out U6 and U7 if the Angels hadn't intervened, so there is that. /shrug

Yeah, but Beerus also couldn't learn MUI in the million year head start he has on Goku.

Plus he doesn't seem like the type to worry about collateral damage, going by his pep talk to Vegeta.
