What if current Beerus just snapped and started attacking Whis with everything he had? Do you think Beerus could put up any sort of fight at all?

From the way Whis just chops his neck for then instant one shot, I'm inclined to say no. Which really puts into perspective how outlandish Whis is.

Like Dambo said, Whis would just KO Beerus with a casual chop again.

Remember, one of an Angel's primary functions is keeping their Destroyer in check, should they go berserk and start threatening their universe. Therefore, the more powerful Beerus is written, the more powerful Whis becomes by proxy.

...But with the nearly unbounded authority that Destroyers possess, I'd be more curious to know what would happen if Beerus ordered Whis to kill himself or somesuch..?

Bit of a cheap shot though. Granola took down Goku nearly as easily, and like Galan said that's par for the course with cheap shots on Goku.

Doesn't mean Whis could one shot a prepared Beerus.

...But I'm really not comfortable putting anyone this side of Whis above Beerus at this point. Because it's clear that Toriyama just wants to keep Beerus above Goku and Vegeta, no matter how powerful they become... With no real 'cap' in sight.

whis does have perfected UI, and beerus has insta kill right? never thought anyone would be above that..

We have not seen any indication that Broly has regular Saiyan zenkai

Why would he not properly zenkai?

He is a mutant and he wasn't shown with the typical zenkai boost srug

I mean, Broly's power increased by many...MANY... orders of magnitude after fighting for like 2 hours.

So if anything I'd be more inclined to think that his Saiyan "x-gene" gives him far more of a zenkai than the other Saiyans. /shrug

That wasn't typical zenkai, zenkai doesn't teaches you new skills

Jiren would get a lot more interesting if his power was explained at achieving MUE.

And he did hold his own with his own destructor, who would certainly have the same skill that Vegeta only just learned.

If ToP Jiren was truly =/> Belmond(and it hasn't been retconned), then it shows you the massive discrepancy in power between the GoDs... Because Jiren's power during the ToP is now insignificant compared to current Goku, who is still considerably weaker than Beerus.

I think Vegeta will win this.

My prediction for next chapter: Vegeta is seemingly down and out. He kneels there and has flashbacks that give him an epiphany. This causes his power to skyrocket and he puches a fist through Granola's stomach then blasts ki through him, like happened to Zarbon.

Granola probably won't die, and his boss will get a powerup to become the real threat.

Essentially a rip off of Estarossa vs Escanor from Seven Deadly Sins, where Estarossa casually killed Leonidas, then got beat by Escanor, and both ended up not being remotely the true threat or hero.

you said it yourself, he is a mutant who was said to have some crazy potential, soo why look for a typical zenkai?
