I could see Jiren powering through Vader's TK, tbh.

reminds me of the anime when he forced through TIME skip

A White Martian would get blitzed to death though, one punched as soon as the bell rung. There's no way a Martian is beating Jiren.

He would defeat the entire White Martian race in my opinion.

Easily. A hand wave would destroy them.

Cool, so we are left with Deadman 🙂

Edit: I think we need to remember that the White Martians are pretty fast themselves. Match starts, say they go intangible - what can Jiren do then?

A white Martian got blitzed by a 99% relativistic SOL punch from Wally.

Goku dodged sunlight as a kid. Jiren is infinitely faster than kid Goku. Literally.

What does SOL mean?

For sure, they'd have to be able to do their attacks IF they can get over the blitz.

Otherwise, it's someone who starts out intangible, like Deadman. Or Nate Grey, maybe. Basically, anyone who can live as energy.

Who is the strongest person Deadman possessed?

What does physical strength have to do with it? Genuinely curious. If Jiren has no feats against possession (which is what I asked for), then.....we don't just automatically assume he's got any.

Maybe I shouldn't of said "strongest". Who is the most POWERFUL person DM has possessed? The reason I mentioned power is because power IS a usable argument for DB characters

Ok, so what defense has a powerful DB character shown against possession? I mean, you surely agree that we don't just assume defences if they've not been shown, right?

How about.... Cassandra Nova? Basically, we're looking at the Low/Mid Herald tier here (Deadman is Low Herald, Cassie is Mid). Nate Grey (who can exist as energy without a physical body, yet has incredible TP) is also Mid Herald, we're not going to make Carver cry with Metas like Living Laser (no physical body, lightspeeder) or Secret (from Young Justice) lol.

Listen to the clip, please...

Ok. I've watched that. Now, you tell me what it has to do with this. Lay your argument and interpretation out.

Yeah, TP is the biggest obstacle for DB characters, imo.

The best resistance feat would likely be SS2 Majin Vegeta overriding Babidi's mind control(Babidi displayed planetary TP)... But it's nigh impossible to say how TP resistance would scale.

Interesting....

The Vegeta showing isn't just a simple mind attack, Babadi took over your every fiber. Your mind AND your body, everything about you. Vegeta was just able to over power it. That's similar to possession imo except one is an external attack and the other is internal.

I don't disagree with that, carv.

Biggest issue is that TP-esque attacks are basically non-existent in DB(Babidi vs. Vegeta is really it)... So how can we logically determine what the DB character could(or could not) power through on that front?

I'd like to *think* a DB character's resistance to TP attacks would scale accordingly with their power... But can I prove it? No.

You can prove it.

Babidi could mind control Dabura flawlessly who was maybe...idk...40% weaker than Vegeta.

He could mind control Vegeta to a limited degree until Vegeta finally powered through it.

He could not mind control Fat Buu at all who was probably 40% stronger than Majin Vegeta.

So all things scale, in DB? Including character traits?

So if Dabura is 40% weaker (by weaker I mean physically) than Vegeta, everything else is also 40% less? Your arguments are now that Vegeta is 40% stronger in willpower, does that mean he is also 40% more intelligent? Charming? Argumentative? Where does the scaling end? Is Buu then 40% more intelligent than Vegeta etc etc?

Don't get hung up on the other exact numbers, let's just use the 40% for now. Would Goku's intelligence, empathy, sadness, happiness, pride etc all scale up the more powerful he becomes?

In short, if Jiren is infinitely faster than Kid Goku, is he also simultaneously infinitely stupider and more intelligent? Which traits get amped?

How can you say what Vegeta does or doesn't do, scales across the rest of DB?

And that's not even getting into what Babidi can or cannot do. That's a completely separate argument for the time being.

It's simple, the more powerful you are, the less an attack would work on you. If someone with a power level of 40k became helpless from a time stop attack, it would be much harder to use that same attack from the same person on someone who have a power level of 1 million. This is the reason people with higher power levels sit on the thrown in DB because no matter what type of versatility you have, it means absolutely nothing against someone who double you in "power"
