Curious to see what the manga does with Beast Gohan's power(won't at all be surprised if he's confirmed as =/> MUI Goku and UE Vegeta), but for now Goku wins.
did you see the new spoiler of db series next year where they get turned into kids?
idk why won't they just continue where super left off
Yeah, I saw that unfortunately. Toriyama really needs to die retire. I mean, outside of a few outliers, DBS has mostly been a steaming pile of dog shit... And now he's trying to cram these chibi variants down our throats? ick. 😘
Assuming this new "Daima" project will be canon to DBS, the only shred of hope I have is that it takes place after the conclusion of DBS/EoZ -- if for no other reason than to fully reboot the power levels(as the unending power-creep in DBS is completely unchecked and out of control.)
Tbh, seems like it's difficult to make stories looking at it from a power level perspective. Even the weakest of characters like Krillin and Roshi is ridiculously powerful. What stories can actually be done with people like MUI Goku, Jiren, Vegeta, Beerus, etc... the show started off with them almost destroying the Universe. A reboot is needed.

You need to explore KMC more, my freaky bro:

Does it even matter?
Tori would still find ways to make it suck, don't you ever doubt it.

Chocolate man, each time you respond to Galan's posts, you cost him -9001 reputation points.

I'm under the impression that Japanese writers tend to use fancy/hyerpole language for attack names(hence, a lot of attacks are given some fancy names throughout manga/anime. Sometimes, the writer even will give some explanations why those characters are doing such things)
While the comics medium is far more...straight about attack name. You (compared to anime/manga) rarely see characters babble about every attack they throw with something like "Orbs of Light, Cast into Shade", "Stardust Reverie", "Sudden Phantom Formation Slash of Karmic Wind".....you got the pattern.
On the hand...comics get some as creative as this lol.
https://ibb.co/0ssK8H5IOW, I think anime/manga attack names are same like the attack names in a fighting game....or the codename of comic characters. It reflects some truth, but ultimately, it should really be taken with a grain of salt
Yeah, it's essentially like saying Superman/Hyperion etc are 'invulnerable' (ignoring the translation issue).
Or superhero codenames- Invincible isn't actually invincible, Colossus isn't actually that tall, Black Widow isn't actually part of the Spiderverse, Iron Man isn't just made of iron, etc etc.

Even Jiren-level power has dwindled into utter insignificance in the manga. He'd be a gnat compared to Goku and Vegeta from the Moro arc onward.
Then you have guys like Granolah and Gas, who simply wished to be the strongest in the universe(under the Gods), and *poof*, they could instantly stomp current UI Goku and UE Vegeta with mid-diff.
Then you have Goku and Vegeta using their "Saiyan-ness" to get to that level as well, and *poof*, it happened within a few minutes.
Then you have Freeza appearing out of nowhere, just to tell us that he's actually been training in a RoSaT, and *poof*, he has a Black form that can one-shot the lot of them.
Then you have Gohan, who stopped studying insects for like a day, and *poof*, he activates the Beast transformation and now he's probably right up there with Goku and the others.
Then you have Beerus, who used to be compared n00b-MUI Goku and Jiren, but now we know that he actually uses a super-secret Destroyer amp that allows for limitless power when mastered, and *poof*, he could likely one-shot all of the above with low-diff.
The power-creep is completely asinine, and has been for some time. Trying to asspull credible threats to any of the big name Z Fighters doesn't even make sense anymore, and will only get worse if the series keeps progressing like this.
Reboot them all back down to like Saiyan saga levels of power(or less), imo. That's more than enough, and still allows for good storytelling/character progression. God-level power just needs to go away, as does having the luxury of training with GoDs and Angels whenever they feel like it. Take the series back down to its roots -- that's the only way it can possibly be salvaged, imo.
But from what we hear, Daima might be taking place between Buu Saga and BoG... not confirmed yet.
Also, keep in mind how despite being reduced to a chibi version, GT Goku was growing in power so fast, he made everyone seem insignificant, including Gohan, Majuub and Vegeta.
Don't get your hopes too high. Tori is just going to Tori, he is not reducing everyone to chibi versions in order to fix his storytelling or anything. You know this, I'm sure I don't need to tell you 😂
Originally posted by StiltmanFTWThe main reason I question that alleged timeframe is because Supreme Kai and Kibito are shown in the trailer as separate [chibified] characters.

But in DBS they didn't defuse until after RoF, iirc.
Originally posted by StiltmanFTWYeah, if anything it would just be a temporary reboot... But at least it'd be something.

Kind of like Thanos snapping half the universe. That type of population control would have worked for a little while, but give it a decade or two and things would have been right back to where they were before the snap. ermm
Originally posted by StiltmanFTWLol, I never get my hopes up when Tori is at the helm. Dude hasn't given a shit about quality storytelling since like the Namek saga.

animation looks good but stupid concept, i agree. looks like someone is using the dragon to wish for the heroes to be children again? why? and is it just going to be a single movie or a whole series?
Originally posted by DeadpoolXXXMaybe, but that could also be a red herring.

Aging/de-aging is obviously well within Shenron's power. However, if Shenron granted the wish in the first place, he could also undo it -- and that makes the threat much less credible. So I feel like those new characters(the ones glimpsing through the Z Fighters' timeline) are directly responsible for transforming them into chibis through some sort of other, more esoteric, means that are beyond a Dragon's ability to negate. So perhaps Shenron will just be summoned to see wtf is going on and if he has the power to undo it..? Dunno.
Originally posted by DeadpoolXXXI don't think it has been confirmed either way at this point. Also don't yet know if it's meant to be connected to DBS at all(though I assume it will be.)

Toei: "Brilliant Toriyama-san!!"
