Yeah, I think Bruce would think like someone who isn't blinded by giant lasers and fancy looking choreography. He's probably set up a trap that puts them in a vacuum, or hit them with magic that they'd have no real defense against (Because the Buu saga made it clear ki is no defense against magic), or just gas them, or freeze them with the Mr. Freeze gun (Extreme cold is a weakness for Goku, as established in early Dragon Ball)
