Did you not read the scan. Where in it does Namor not include himself. Cause what I’m seeing is “We have not the strength” but I could be misquoting what’s actually in the scan....

that bartender is actually Mephisto trying to goad Namor into going to war with the Avengers, Namor knows that with a limited army he can’t win an all out war against the Avengers unless the Defenders of the Deep go berserk but he doesn’t wanna do that because he knows they’ll just end up killing everybody Atlanteans included. So his plan was to call the Phoenix and single handily take over without including his people in another war.

In the Atlantis Attacks series Namor even mentions how he’s tired of fighting and going to war all the time

Which basically proves my point. That Avengers fight isn’t consistent with his portrayal the fact he needs the Phoenix Force an amp to stand a chance against The Avengers shows he can’t beat them alone on his own power.

it wasn’t JUST about the avengers tho, Atlantis was being attacked on all angles by Roxxon and by different underwater cults, his army was thin and the only real heavy hitters he had left were the Defenders:

The Defenders were blood thirsty and wanted to go to war but Namor was using restraint

You’re thinking about it in the 1v1 sense, Namor knows he can’t afford to go to war with Avengers/Roxxon/Pirates all at once because his kingdom has gone to hell, so Mephisto tricks him into joining the Vampires as Allies

I'd lean Logan. Manta is no slouch, and will definitely punish him I just don't see how he's going to keep Logan down in a featureless environment. He would need to like drown him or bury him.

Again what’s said in the comic doesn’t match up with the claims or conclusions your coming to. Mephisto ask him about the Avengers in specific so I’d imagine his response was towards the Avengers in specific. I’m honestly surprised anyone would honestly argue Namor can take on Thor, She Hulk, Captain Marvel, Ghost Rider and Ironman and that it’s a legit feat.

What are you talking about?

the conclusions I’m coming to isn’t just based on this one comic...It’s shown in the
-Avengers
-Namor:Best Defense
-Invaders
-Atlantis Attacks

At the first it was just the Avengers/Roxxon/underwater cults. When Namor declared the seas off limits and starts attacking people this is when the second fight with the Avengers happens and then the Winter Guard join the Avengers. So Namor has the Winter Guard and The Avengers on his back. But that’s not it when the Defenders attacked a ship in Alaska Coulson sent the Squadron Supreme to handle it and Orca got killed. So NOW Namor has 3 different hero teams on his ass. At the end of the Invaders comic Cap even asks Namor to stand down and accept peace for the greater good:

But you’re ignoring where what he believes an Atlantean bar keep is telling him to go to war against the Avengers and then he claims he and Atlantis don’t have the strength for it and has to resort to calling on the Phoenix...

There’s about 2 instances in the Avengers title that make the whole Avengers fight sketchy as hell on top of the fact he didn’t really do any significant damage to anyone in the fight. I’ll give him the holding back 2 avengers while no selling a third but that’s not consistent even with Aaron’s later depictions for Namor let alone Namor in general after his new duds and return.

The hell happened in Invaders that you found impressive? That’s the title where Captain America bloodied him up.

In the Cho fight in Atlantis Attacks before Namor got that first knock out Cho suggested he wasn’t feeling well. The second time his Dark Hulk persona came out he had the better of Namor.

I admittedly haven’t read Namor: Best Defense. So you could have something there but I’d probably at this point rather read it myself..

Alberto.

1. At least have the decency to reupload scans so we can actually see them.
2. Stop lowballing.

Wolverine.

Logan can generally only be beat with high potency ranged attacks or being considerably faster and managing to grab his wrists and missionary him.
