Venezuelan migrant has message for socialism-lovers in USA
"This Venezuelan migrant has a message for pro-socialism Americans: Go to a socialist country and see it for yourselves. (Sorry, free-market Nordic welfare states don't count)."
😂
Don't count the countries where it works, only count the countries where other countries (ie the US) helped ensure there would be a complete shitshow. Oh Rightist...

Sweden is not socialist.
You can track their economic history over the past hundred years.
They were free market, switched to socialism and almost destroyed their economy, then switched back to free market principles. Sweden pays for it's social safety nets via taxing the poor.
Yeah, anyone who thinks Sweden or any of the other nordic countries are truly socialist is a retard. Seems I have triggered some leftists who hate when anyone points out how socialism is a shitty ideology that always fails and leads to nothing but misery.
Just as I thought, Rob is praising socialism yet in other thread he says he doesn't support it. But remember, he is totally a "centrist" lol.

I think centrism is a stand in term for uneducated on the topic. Centrism doesn't really make any sense.

It's a good thing Sweden doesn't account for all the Nordic states 👆

How far are you away from collecting your Social Security? 🙂
I'm a liberal actually, we've covered this. Pay attention.

Venezuela isn't a purely socialist country. Neither is Sweden. Neither is Ireland. Or England. Or France. Or Italy. Or China. Or America. Some of them might have socialist policies, but that's not the same thing. Nor is it the single reason any country fails.
Bad faith video.

Nah, it was pretty spot-on, but I'm not surprised a Bernie supporter would be crying about it lol.

LOL@ all of the socialism lovers here who're triggered by someone who actually has suffered under the yoke of socialism speaking out against it."Nuh uh, he's lying! Socialism is great!" 😆
Oh leftists.... smh.

Better Bernie than Trump.
It wasn't remotely spot on. Anyone who knows even the slightest thing about the shit-show in Venezuela would have to be an idiot to blame socialism for its ills.
I swear the only places progressive items have implemented according to conservatives are Venezuela and Chicago lol.
Also if the Nordic countries don't count then there shouldn't be any problems with copying those countries. And since those are the countries most American progressives want to copy why even bring up Venezuela?

The Nordic countries aren't great. They have a lot of ****ing problems. But they do do some things right. There's no shame in copying, or at least adapting successful methods from one country and adapting them to your own.
I just wish people (usually ****ing idiots) who think one type of government alone works would piss off. It doesn't. Not capitalism, not socialism, not communism.
Well, fascism kinda did. But not in a good way.

I think the missing element from most those discussions is the amount of taxes middle class and poor pay into the system, make no mistake USA hides taxes by taxing everything rather than a central tax system.
Defining socialism is central to a discussion for or against it, most countries with socialist policies aren't actually socialist.
