Covid 2021 (Be Proper or GTFO)

The thing about one state being larger than the UK, is you will naturally have more deaths in the entire country compared to the UK.

And we established Vaccine is not immunity, it only offers heavy protection. People with vaccines can and DO die from infection.

So the question is how many people who died are unvaxxed, how many who died while unvaxxed died before they became available, and what is the rate of deaths since they became available?

Plus what areas are they happening in. Perhaps heavy concentrations of people have greater rates, vaxxed or not.

You have approx 5 times the population and 5 times the Covid deaths.

But we are generally much more densely populated here, so harder to avoid transmission.

We were also very slow to shut down our borders last year. In fact we never really shut them down…

Don't I ****ing know it. Ireland was the same.

If only we voted to leave a union to have greater control, specifically restriction, on our borders... 😐

... It's actually just depressing now.

Omicron never should have left Africa.

How hard is it to demand mandatory quarantine for any and all flights anywhere ever?

Africa gave us Ebola, COVID and AIDS!

Nuke Nixon? How about we nuke Africa!

Did you watch Castlevania? They had villiagers sleeping where they shit. They looked French or English.

Pretty sure that kind of thing is way more common in, say, Zimbabwe.

My point of course, is omicron spreading out of Africa makes sense because of horrible sanitation and sanitary practices therein.

The first world has no such excuse. We can stop it spreading at the airport, with mandatory quarantine.

😂 So poor living conditions don't happen in first world countries?

Sure they do. But even in our slums people generally use toilets and wash hands instead of literally shitting in their kitchen.

Excerpt California or Portland.

"generally speaking"

cdtm, you are borderline retarded. Let me try to explain this in a way you'll understand.

First they came for spammers, then they came for derailers, then they came for anyone who broke any rules of KMC, then they came for me, because by that time, no one was left.

I'm not sure what was so terrible about his statement. Africa, even if we accept that it's far more built-up and urbanised than the movies would have us believe (and it is) generally has lower sanitary standards than a lot of the western world.

That and their abysmal vaccination rate doesn't help matters either.

Or am I missing something?

Re: U.S. COVID Deaths Surpass 800K

The United States on Sunday reached 800,000 coronavirus-related deaths, as the nation braces for a potential surge in infections due to more time spent indoors with colder weather and the highly-transmissible Omicron variant of the virus.

The milestone means the U.S. death toll from this one virus now exceeds the entire population of North Dakota.

Even with vaccines widely and freely available, the country has lost more lives to the virus this year than in 2020 due to the more contagious Delta variant and people refusing to get inoculated against COVID-19.

1% of Americans Age 65+ Have Died of COVID

Seventy-five percent of people who have died of the virus in the United States—or about 600,000 of the nearly 800,000 who have perished so far—have been 65 or older. One in 100 older Americans has died from the virus. For people younger than 65, that ratio is closer to 1 in 1,400.

I think you're on par. Greater restrictions should have been made at airports to stop infection from a more infectious area entering a less infectious area.

it's been over 48 hours since my booster shot and i feel fine. arm was sore af until this morning though, so the 3rd shot was the harshest

Getting my booster tomorrow, not looking forward to the arm pain I'm hearing about but oh well.

Those turds who complain about that never felt any significant pain in their entire lives, to be brutally honest.
