If Kyle got into a pissing contest while brandishing the thing and allowed it to escalate, I'd be more inclined to your logic. The fact is, Kyle didn't do any of that. They deliberately ambushed him.

The gun isn't a cause of that, and no amount of provocation really justified it.

Were any of the three found to be looting? Seems they had nothing stolen on their persons after Rittenhouse murdered the two and injured the third. I could be wrong.

Kyle was putting out fires. If they were not involved in acts of arson, they had no reason to chase after him for putting them out.

Kyle went there to kill people. He wanted to live out the right wing fantasy of shooting someone in 'self-defense' and 'protection of property' He didn't know the dude he shot and killed was a pedo at the time of the shooting. However, I dont' think he's a sociopath/psycopath. He went there on someone else's idea and found he didn't have the taste for it he thought he would. Basically, he ****ed around and found out and now his soul is stained. I actually feel bad for him.

Should he have gone to prison? Absolutely, IF the prosecution had been competent. However, it was absolutely awful and incompetent and if he had been sent to prison after that cluster***k I'd actually lose faith in the justice system (which is already dwindling)

As a sidenote, I find it super amusing that the right turns on him a bit for voicing BLM support on tucker carlson.

No one can know his thoughts. He says he was guarding from looters, I'm inclined to believe him.

But even if he was "****ing around", the one who chased him down was acting like 17 year old kid instead of the 36 year old man nearing middle age. Trying to kick Rittenhouse or hit him with a skateboard are what got them killed.

Rittenhouse had as much right to be there as the protestors.
