I've said for years that Labour's wind vane politics are a serious problem and that they chop and change with apparently no consistent goals or values. Even now they've abandoned their 2019 pledges and are "starting from scratch"

I've also said several times that he's basically an empty suit and that if Labour get into power it'll be because the Tories lose rather than Labour winning.

The issue is there hasn't been a more inept and corrupt government in the UK's history than has just been under Johnson. And it resulted in countless billions squandered and defrauded to the point where 3 different ethics and anti corruption advisors have resigned from the government.
Their own investigation into #PartyGate started with the investigator having to resign because they'd been and one of the parties.
Johnson got a blow job in his parliamentary office while Foreign Secretary then tried to get the women a 6 figure salary job with the Government for her efforts. He tried to hand government contracts to a woman he was having an affair with.

Let's not forget my favourite from the last couple of years

Wait, so now we do trust the Mail?

They weren't the only ones reporting it. And the fact that they even did speaks volumes cos even now they're lamenting him resigning

You know, the guardian admits it was first reported by the mail, confirmed by Cummings who was fired by him and denied by Gove who says he was in the room with him the whole time.

I'm starting to think this was just tabloid whirlwind bullshit; I don't buy a Mail story confirmed by a member of staff who resigned for unrelated issues and I actually think the tabloids are trying to oust the Conservatives, here.

Yeah. The Daily Mail are trying to oust the Tories. Are you actually mentally retarded?

They'll say anything to sell newspapers.

Besides, the Mail is a paper I associate with extreme right wing nationalist movements, which the Tories are not.

No, they're not.

Another nonsense story to promote their agenda.

My point was they'll attack or support the Tories if it supports their narrative, which is neo-nazi.

The Telegraph is more align with the Tories. Miserable old gits.

Nah, the soldiers who voted them out as soon as they got back home defeated Hitler. Along with solid support from the allies and cross party cooperation during the conflict. Never forget, Tory leader Neville Chamberlain appeased Hitler, leading to Germany becoming emboldened and WW2 starting.

Double post weird

Agreed, although my main issue with that is that Starmer made similar pledges to appeal to Labour members to vote him Leader, then went back on all of those pledges, claiming winning is more important (even though you would think things like Nationalising energy companies would prove a pretty sensible idea right now).

So he's already proven untrustworthy, and shown he will say whatever it takes to get into power, but may not stick to those promises later.

Agreed. But my issue isn't him being dull, it's the above, plus what he did to JC.

Again not arguing any of that. I'm just not prepared to reward Labour for the direction they've taken simply to oust Tories. I'm perfectly happy voting Greens (or not at all).

All the above you've noted is self damaging to the Tories anyway. They were something like 10 points ahead of Labour (due to bland Starmer) before all the Partygate revelations started.

Nationalising energy companies, like nationalising the railways would be terrible ideas.

People would still be paying the taxes even if the services aren't being used.
