F*ck, it's great.
It's the first time I've been genuinely impressed with and enjoyed IMAX, the nuance with the sound effects and music. And the visuals here are of course spectacular. Incredibly well done. Denis is a cinema god and makes it seem so effortless. God. Damn.
Part One truly is the appetizer and Part Two is the main course.

Oh yeah, in fact that is how I described it to my wife after it was over: it's like Star Wars, but not for kids and written better. So basically like Star Wars, but doesn't suck.
Clearly hasn't watched The Clone Wars
also Star Wars has something for everyone, Its not solely just for kids.

Leech's whole thing is hating on popular stuff. He will end up hating Dune a few years from now on, too.
I'll hate on whatever I want if it sucks, thank you very much. And lately Star Wars has sucked.
I honestly didn't hate the recent sequel trilogy as much as some, just as mindless sci-fi space opera entertainment. Because I'm at the point that the lore doesn't really matter to me because they haven't been very consistent with it. But it's clear they haven't thought it out very well.
Dune just OWNED Star Wars thanks to the masterful touch of Denis Villeneuve.
To say that Denis Villeneuve is better than JJ Abrams is the understatement of the century.
You felt the same about Star Wars before Sequel Trilogy, though.
Your posts regarding SW in the Dune threads would've been exactly the same, even if ST had never been made 😛
If the sequel of Dune does well, you'll lose interest soon. That's how you roll. Riddick, Underworld, those are your champions 😂
Nah, I've always been a more casual fan of Star Wars. I enjoyed the prequels because at least they were a more singular vision. But now Disney has corporatized it and lost any sort of vision other than $$.
Another observation about Dune Part Two is I felt like they really pushed the limits of the PG-13 rating. I had no problem showing my 6 year old son Part One, but I may have to make him wait a year or two more to see Part Two.
Man, I can't wait to see it again. It's a 10/10. Excited to see if it even gets to 11/10 with repeat viewings. Especially sitting and watching One and Two back-to-back.
