Superman vs. Gladiator, Hyperion, Sentry and Count Nefaria

imagine, the weakest era of superman is faster than gladiator and hyperion combined

can't even imagine if we include pre-crisis feats and current feats, it's almost unfair for those marvel superman clones

Wait, Philosophia just claim that he's read every single appearance of Superman ever? Is that even possible? That has to be tens of thousands of comics.

I don't think tens of thousands, all named comic books and action comics, crossovers, teacups and events. I would think 5=10,000. Where's Astner or Magnon when you need that level of sub clinical benign autism.

According to this: https://comicvine.gamespot.com/superman/4005-1807/

Superman appeared in 17037 issues(of course, this included reprinted version, different language version, TPBs, etc). If we assume reading a single issue is around 20 minutes, then theoretically, it could be done around a year or two if you non-stop read Superman's comics

So basically this

What is this supposed to mean?

Are you literally asking for stories in which there is no plot (which would be impossible, as 'Superman fights Doomsday and wins', simple as it is, is still technically a plot), or are you going to just reject every instance where Superman won by saying it was an act of plot or something?

I'm asking him to provide scans of Superman beating Doomsday under his own power. He mentioned Supes vs Doomsday, so he should be able to post scans showing Doomsday losing to Supes. If it has never happened, then his comment is irrelevant.

Like I said, go with consistent high-ends. If Bob Whathisname moves planets half a dozen times in a few years, but has trouble lifting a mountain once or twice, ignore the latter. But if he moves a planet only once or twice and has trouble lifting mountains many more times, ignore the former.

Of course there is a lot of ambiguity with this method sometimes, but not really any more than with any other method.

This is the way I've always saw it.

Yes, but in order to establish consistency you have to go by the comics. What's consistent now may not be consistent a decade from now.

This. I think you all are saying the same thing but just different.

Point of his post went completely over your head.

What low showing from Cannonball? Gladiator wrecking Cannonball. Gladiator deciding to end the fight with one punch that was going to send CB to the heart of a star. Cannonball gaining a new power and absorbing the punch? Cannonball hitting Gladiator with that same power ending with Gladiator bouncing right back up? Is this what you call a low showing? 🤔

Superman(1987) #175

That's Doomsday Rex. I'm talking about pure, unrestrained Doomsday who doesn't get weaker based on his emotions.

- it has evolved to its mature state where it's grown stronger and destroys everything around him just by his aura. Superman is the only person on the planet able to fight more than 10 minutes against him.

- Doomsday is consuming life to get bigger and stronger in preparation for Superman, the most powerful prey. Superman is the one prey he ran from because he wasn't ready to face him yet.

Superman: Doomed arc

Wonder Woman admitted he caught her off guard. Second fight, Wonder Woman felt like she could beat it. Wonder Woman then takes on Superman combined with this version of Doomsday and held her own. Next, that isn't Doomsday. Oh well, I guess nothing. Thanks for the scans though.

Wouldn't say wank, she is just powerful AF. Also, I must wank Thor harder since I mentioned in another thread that he kills her...

That is NOT Doomsday. Not the same Doomsday we know and his powers work completely different.

If you remove all that you wrote, plus comics where he appears for a panel, flashbacks etc. you get to a reasonable number. In a year if you really spend time you can read almost everything without some extrordinary effort. Also, the other comics you read weekly (tuesday/wednesday) include all of Superman's comics and guest appearances, which you can also substract.

I've been reading comics for 15 years.
