Superman vs. Gladiator, Hyperion, Sentry and Count Nefaria

Stoic, you don't understand comics nor do you understand battle boards. YOU KEEP RUNNING TO COMIC BOOKS WITH A PREDETERMINED WINNER HAS ALREADY BEEN CHOSEN. So I will now do the same. Firelord vs Spiderman. Going by the comic book which you do Spider-Man will beat fire Lord because he did it in a comic book. So you will take that to a battle board and claim Spider-Man wins. Big mistake you cannot transfer that over to a battle board because on a battle board Spider-Man will get murdered. Superman beats opponents on those level because that's what heroes are written to do. You cannot transfer that over to a battle board. A comic book is just like a James Bond movie. He will get beaten down and captured hung up but escape and then win in the end so that the crowd can cheer. But take him away from that movie and put it on a battle board he would have gotten killed in the first 10 seconds of the movie when they first caught him. Arnold Schwarzenegger beat predator in the movie. On a battle board he would have been killed. Darkseid Omega beam don't work on Superman in the comic book because Superman is written to be essential to the universe. On a battle board he is essential to nothing. And Carver would do well to listen to my friends and not listen to you because you have never in your life written one comic book, nor do you know how they function. You just look at who win but don't understand why they won.

It's amazing how certain people don't understand comics. Stoic, answer this. When Superman was placed on that prison planet where those other supermen had died, what allowed Superman to escape while severely depowered, his power set OR THE PLOT OF THE STORY? WOULD HE HAVE ESCAPED THAT PLANET ON A BATTLE BOARD? Why didn't WF just kill superman himself?

Comic fights are different than forum fights. Here we use full capacity. Superman is insanely fast. So in a forum he would be significantly faster than Hulk. The two would not be fighting at the same speed as you would imagine.

He said Superman has defeated people on or above Anni-Hulk level, consistently. It took an unleashed, going all out, Thanos to defeat him. Start there.

Yes, let’s start right there. Darkseid avatar’s are approximately Thanos level opponents. He has defeated them on more than one occasion.

Show me. Also, again, Doomsday, Orion, Wonder Woman, and possibly Black Adam (Darkseid showings against Heralds aren't that great. I'm sure I am missing someone) all have done well against Darkseid. Diana actually fought the true version of Darkseid. Are you implying anyone that have beaten or fought well against Darkseid can stomp Gladiator? Please don't avoid these questions.

Darkseid outright stomps Orion pretty much all the time. Doomsday fought Darkseid almost thirty years ago now. Diana was bitchslapped away and almost killed by Teen Darkseid and later admitted she had no chance against a weakened Darkseid and Adam has only fought a weakened Darkseid.

Thanos’ showings against a team that were not comprised of only high Heralds defeated him as well. If we replaced Thanos with Darkseid against Tyrant he would have done better. Shit, a fight between those two would be very long based upon how well he did against the Anti Monitor. Doomsday should be Trans as well. He took apart the entire Justice, and that was before he got into a death battle with Superman. The Savage Hulk was able to hold Anni-Hulk Orr, and we both know that the Savage Hulk isn’t the Hulk’s most powerful personality, or version of the character.

The reason that I do not post pics is due to a few underlying challenges that I face. My collection is actually at my brothers house in Canada, I no longer have photoshop to edit choose which scans to use, and I’m pretty much stuck in limbo until a time comes that I am able to. I could of course go to a read comic books online for free site, but I thought that they were frowned upon due to infringement laws, and forum policies, but I am unsure?

I have an example of Superman defeating a High Herald while holding back so that he does not injure them. When Hal Jordan was mind altered and raging, he hit Superman with everything that he had, and Superman weathered the assault and put him done. With Gladiator’s track record of wins vas losses, I highly doubt that he’d be able to do the same. I’d imagine it to be like his usual showings. He flies in strong, get’s in a few nice hits, but then when Hal hits him with a devastating attack he becomes unable to defend himself, which results in another loss for him.

I’ll try to see if I can get scans to show you. I pretty certain though that people have shown you Superman feats in comparison to the characters in this thread. Me using what you perceive as Gladiator’s worst showings really aren’t. They are all that he has in terms of fights.

Name me one big fight that Gladiator has gone on to win. Make sure that you mention a fight that both are in optimal condition, make sure it’s a win as well for Gladiator. This guy loses more than he wins in clutch moment.

I figured that was the citing that Carver mentioned when he said that Wonder Woman defeated not only a Darkseid any, but the real thing. The real deal had his boot on the Spectre’s neck not too long ago.
