VIDEO: Teacher Did Not Leave Door Open

Ramos is believed to have entered the school through a door that had been left propped open by a teacher.
An employee at Robb Elementary School had propped open a door to carry food from a car to the classroom last Tuesday, but closed it shut after realizing that a gunman was loose, and heading toward the school.
Don Flanary said the school employee, who is not being identified out of safety concerns, called 9-1-1 to report an accident near the school involving a black truck, which turned out to be driven by gunman Salvador Ramos.
A source familiar with the investigation said surveillance video and audio verifies the employee removed the rock holding the door open and closed it. "She slammed it shut," said the source, who requested anonymity because the source does not have authority to speak with the media.
So the pigs lied, and tried to blame a teacher. What a ****ing shocker.
Here's something like what I read a few days ago...
TBF, the "hero with a gun" narrative the NRA loves to push is the idea that if more/most people are armed, when something like this happens a citizen turned hero will pull out their gun and take down the shooter.
Though it's assumed the these citizens are always going to be trained to safely fire their weapons around themselves and other innocents, when basic weapons handling isn't required to get guns in many states and it's assumed that they're just going to know who the shooter is. What happens when multiple hero-citizens pull out their guns and go shooter-hunting in a mall that has an active shooter.
Statistically speaking, gun use in self defense scenarios is low: https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/hicrc/firearms-research/gun-threats-and-self-defense-gun-use-2/

I don't think any politician is trying to take that away though.
Also, the government isn't going to inspect hillbilly barns in Oklahoma.

You might want to research Beto. He is willing to take guns from anyone because he doesn't like their gun.

He wants to ban assault rifles.

While I'd generally** trust someone with military training to be more capable of taking out an active shooter without accidentally shooting bystanders, over your average US gun owner who hasn't even taken a basic gun safety course, there's only around 20-21 million ex and active military in the US.
**But there's the unhinged veterans who I'd not trust with a BB gun in an active shooter situation. A few of them used to post here.
As DarthThor noted, the US has the highest amount of guns per capita at 120.5 per 100 residents, yet the "Hero With A Gun!" swooping in to stop mass murderers isn't really happening.
When was the last mass shooting where an armed bystander intervened in a positive manner? Or at all for that matter?

Hopefully Beto wins and Abbot gets kicked to the curb. Say what you will about Beto, but Abbot is trash 👆

The Uvalde Police Department and the Uvalde Independent School District police force are no longer cooperating with the Texas Department of Public Safety's investigation into the massacre at Robb Elementary School and the state's review of the law enforcement response.
A spokesman for Texas DPS, which is running the state's investigations, declined to comment. Last Tuesday's attack, one of the worst school shootings in U.S. history, left 19 children and two adults dead.
People are suggesting that some of the children may have been shot by the police when they shot Ramos. And that the hour they spent in the hallway, not allowing paramedics in or students out, was so they could get their stories straight. Now that investigators are synchronizing the 9-1-1 recordings with the video surveillance, they are realizing they are ****ed, and have decided to stop cooperating.

An MP intervened in the Fort Hood shooting and stopped the Major Hassan, but that's trained military personnel. She was shot up for her troubles.
