Exactly. Many high schools teach very little about sex-ed now, it's simply "you should practice abstinence", but they spend very little time talking about safe sex. People then have unprotected sex. It's nothing but a downward spiral that needs to be changed.
That is why abortion should be legal. Those of us who thinks like me can get an abortion. Those who thinks that it is wrong abstains from having them. If you make abortion illegal only one side get their way…

Which is why I say: each to their own. If you don't agree with it, fine, but do not try and force your beliefs on everyone, because not everyone will agree. Having the choice available does not hurt anyone, nor does it push any beliefs on anyone. Banning it, though, forces everyone to conform to beliefs they may not agree with.
If anything, making it illegal will cause even more problems, as women will still get abortions -- but since they will not be able to get them done at a clinic, it will be much riskier and the person performing the abortion may not know what they're doing or may not have the right equipment.

It's starting to happen recently -- my brother just had health and sex-ed in high school, and didn't learn half that I did when I had it three years ago. And I live in a fairly liberal area. I've heard of that happening in other high schools, too.

in ireland abortion is also illegal... our sex ed consisted of big words half of us didnt understand at the time, and dumb cartoons with big nosed characters...
i hate cartoons...
i learned what i learned because i didnt want to knock up some girl (and i dont mean that to sound offensive), so i went out and read books...

I used to believe it was a child also, untill i started anatomy class which goes over this issue, it is a fact a child isn't a child till after,AFTER 2 months or 8 weeks....
