I want to make a few things clear. (Besides the obvious that this topic is done to death, and it itself should've been aborted from your minds..)
#1: Why is it not okay to play God when a conservative wants to stop an abortion from happening.
But it's okay for a woman to play God when it's "her own body"? That's another human being, a living soul, what gives you any more right then anybody else to have authority over if it lives or dies? Cause it's your body? If that's the case, then we have to decide if the goverment (Who controls pretty much everything we do..) is of a larger root of power then your measly little body..
#2: Both sides refuse to listen to reason. This isn't about freedom, this isn't about religon. Those are the things you just obsess over. Like everything else, we have to take the case by the individual.
Abortion should be an option, but responsibility should be ENFORCED..
You and your sexual partner had every oppurtunity to avoid this circumstance, condoms, pills, operations, waiting, the list go's on and on. Legaly, you should not have the right to have an abortion if you did not take full precautions, and if you did you wouldn't have to get an abortion anyway. And don't give me a maybe scenario, because maybes don't happen, they're just maybes, I'm looking at REALITY. It's time you do too..
Now, rape victims should have the right. As the responsibility was taken out of thier hands, and though it could be argued that it is not our will but God's will what happens to that child, alot of religons would scoff at a baby being born with such "bad karma" sorrounding it. The majority rules, and the option should be there..
If the woman's life is indanger, that's a large burden to bare to choose your life or something that hasn't even lvied it's life yet, I could not, would not, and am not going to ask someone to make that descision. So again, the option of abortion should be there.
And if the baby is going to be born horribly deformed, a vegetable, or some sort of matinance which the parents cannot take full responsibility for, then it's out of her hands, and the option should be there.
You as a HUMAN BEING were given the gift of a consciounse mind. You can change your life with your actions and thoughts for better or for worse. Start owning up to your responibilities, and make them for the better. I'm not demanding you to be a great man, I'm demanding you to just be a man.

Wether or not that "lump of cells" is a human being yet or not is redudant. The fact remains it lives, wether you want to consider it an animal, a plant, or even lesser, still does not change the fact that the goverment atleast the conservative goverment does not want you destroying it.. And just as you would be punished for killing an animal or a plant, what gives you the authority to deny the goverment I ask you? Are you willing to go to prison for this "belief'? If not sit down and be quite, unless you're willing to go the mile for these "rights" you're nothing but another whiney chump that keeps our soceity from progressing which is why we're at such a stagnent heep of dung right now..
And on that note, I don't believe the goverment WANTS abortion to be illegalised. If they did, they would've done it by now. But they make far too much money off hospital expenses from stupid teenagers who can't think before they take action. So the next time you complain about big goverment, sit down and understand it's the amoral "i can do whatever I want!" attitude that the goverment sneers at and manipulates to thier advantage. You're nothing but a puppet..
Abortion isn't the problem, it's the stupid asses involved in it's argument.
cause it's about her rights, the government (US or any other) has no right in deciding if you can have an abortion or not simply because they have no right being there in your own privacy. But well, having said that, I take with all the rights the Americans DON'T have anymore, that's the next step for them.
No, it is NOT redudant. It IS a bunch of cells, so people shouldn't go on about how it's murder or about any souls, it's not a living being ergo it doesn't live THAT is the fact. The government can simply shove it, they have no right in a woman's womb to start with, conservative or not.
Because I'm not murdering an animal or a plant, I'm preventing a bunch of cells from growing... if that's illegal, masturbation should be too cause you're preventing the seed from impregnating a woman.
I don't live in such a "banana-republic" that I have to go to prison for the rights that a person has, my country respects rights.
You're refering to your own government, there are other countries in the world as well. The situation is in all of them rather different, you can't generalise here. Who says they won't do it soon?
You're also generalising about who takes abortions, not every abortion is due to teenagers forgetting protection. Rape, sickness, ... they easily justify abortion.
If I complain about my government it's about their bickering, corruption and plain lack of diplomacy, but thanks for pointing this all out to me.
The only problem with abortion is people not getting facts straight. If they accept what is fact, they can easily understand what is right and wrong.
