i was afraid so 🙁

so you take the right to say it's a person right from day 1 then? I thought it had to be at least conscious to be categorised as something close to human

”What gives her and her little body any more authority then the United States goverment?”

(Runs in from the side, tossing her hands in the air and yelling “Me, me, me… let me answer.”)
Evil> What gives a woman more authority over her body than the US government?
If she’s not in the US I’ll be damned if the US government should have ANY authority… ha haha… jokes aside…
It IS the woman’s body, you know. If the US government told you to go and get your dick chopped off to prevent unwanted pregnancies, would you obey?

...
I'll give my little speech again. Allowing abortions gives everyone a right to make their choice. Those who're anti-choice can choose NOT to have an abortion, those who wish to get one, can. This way there is room for all. By making abortion illegal a government is only catering to ONE side... and let's face it.
You can't make abortions go away by making them illegal anyways...

darn it TO, I was first 😛

Exactly ✅ It just puts the people in more danger for hygiene reasons because they would get them done in illegal facilities.

Whilst I respect Omega's intelligence more so than I perhaps respect anyone's save for a few, I'd like to point out that if they don't get the simple notion of choice by the one hundred and sixty first page, they won't get it by the millionth.

you're theory makes no sense
if she was raised VERY catholic the situation wouldn't have happeend at all.

Okay, Clovie, I gotta say that this is the biggest crap ever. Just because someone was raised as a Catholic doesn't mean they'll stick with those ideals. I was raised Catholic and I think that Catholic beliefs and morals are shit. It means nothing, ultimately.

Evil said some crap about the US goverment having more authority over a woman's body than the woman. Guess what, one of the rights we enjoy in the US is the Right to Privacy. As in, what someone does to themselves is their business and theirs alone, and the government has NO right to interfere with it. It's built in to the Constitution. Making abortion illegal, or even restricting who can have one, violates this and is unconstitutional.

*Sits on the plastic Horse*

You know what I love about merry-go-rounds?

Nothing. They suck and they're boring.

-AC

*snorts*

You dork 😛

I do believe that this is a lost cause, though. People just can't seem to wrap their heads around the fact that what happens to someone else in no way affects them, and that they have no say.

*Hops on the goat*

Let's try this.

WHEEEEEE!

Nope. Still same old merry go round.

-AC

Pfft, I thought people grew out of merry-go-rounds by the time they turned 13 😛

I thought people understood that abortion was choice by the time they clicked the thread.

Apparantly, my dear friend, we were both horrifically wrong.

Silly people.

Then the question arises if you're a heretic or barbarian for not follow their beliefs and morals; no?

I said I was raised Catholic, I very obviously am NOT anymore 😛 I follow my own morals.

you was supposed to be not aimed at you but in general, I always wondered what the official stand of the church is about that 😮

Oh.

I don't know and honestly I don't really care...

*best Luke voice*
I do 🙁

Yerssot> A good thing can ALWAYS be repeated… no? 😄

AC> (Dons professor hat) Why thank you 🙂
I know, I know… trust me… But like some others, I find it hard to leave this thread to anti-abortionists, who will not go back and read the arguments.
Do I think I’ll make a difference? Change anyones mind? Once in a while it actually works…

I always think, if it takes a bludgeoning of common sense to make someone go "Oh yeah". Rather than a hint of it, it's not worth it. Nothing has been gained.

Like nuking an empire to make the dictator see the error of his ways.
