I think its ok with the women who was raped. Otherwise I feel like its wrong. If people are having sex, then they should have to handle the responablitilys that go with it. My parents did not want me, and I ended up in a group home, but in the end I turned out ok. So just because the parent does not want you does not mean that child is going to turn out bad.
Im gunna get flamed for this, but if I knew my child would come out handicapped, it's getting aborted. I say this knowing that the person I have the child with would agree. I wouldn't stay with someone who didn't have the same veiws as I do on this matter(or matters of science/religion). That being said, I, unlike most, veiw abortion as saving the child from serious misfortune, and not punishing it.

Is that deformed as in John Merrick deformed or only as deformed as the Penguin in Batman Returns?
I mean John(It was actually Joseph) Merrick deformed(although, he was born a perfectly healthy baby. He didn't start deforming until about the age of 9) or Cerebral Palsy, or a serious mental handicap, i.e. Down Syndrome.
If the baby has a large nose and a missing toe, I obviously won't abort it, but if the handicap is so great that it will ruin his experience of living, then it is NOT going to live long enough to see horrendous pain and suffering. No person should be forced through that.
Well, if I knew that the child would go clinically insane, I would have to abort the child just to protect the life of others, whom he might harm. Sacrifice the few for the greater good of the many, right?
P.S. About the Elephant Man, I did a lengthy report on him in High School, so just ask if you want to know more. Don't know where the report went, but I do know a few sources.

I see an interesting pattern here.
I ask you questions, you fuss and dodge. I repeat my questions, you still don’t reply. I ask them again and you CLAIM to’ve answered them.Point me to the post directed to me, where you answered these questions:
A foetus a few weeks old has no conscience – it is NOTHING. To no one. The woman however is someone’s daughter, someone’s sister, wife, friend. Why is her life so much less important to you? What is JUST a poem? That diary thingy you pulled in to support anti-abortion? What on EARTH does a poem have to do with ANYTHING??
Would you allow the woman to abort a foetus which is severely ill, handicapped, with Downs syndrome or that would die within a few years after birth?
Do you – with the same vigour – support giving aid to starving kids in the third world as you do advocating against abortion?
(Oh, and since you just missed ANOTHER question: If you cut off one of your fingers do you call the finger a human being?)
Woman you are lazy 🙂 i have answered your questions! SCROLLLLLL
Is that woman dying?? she isn't any less important, but i'm not killing here eiher, so have no idea what you mean by that statement.
The poem is symbolic, Just a powerful message, i guess you don't get it tho
I don't feel i would love my kid any less if he/she had a birth defect, no i wouldn't abort. You never know the baby could come out normal doctors have been wrong before.
and world hunger?? lol wich is really none of your business what i support or send money to has absolutely nothing to do w/killing a baby.
Just cuz the foeus is small does not mean it is not life. You can think that all you want, but to me it is LIFE 🙂

So was it proteus syndrome Merrick had, or the other more common physical with an unmemorable name? The plaster caste of his head was destroyed in the Blitz so no chance for more research 🙁

My child is happy--thankfully free of medical problems, though he does have a tender tummy, and does have some of the physical symptoms and characteristics typically associated with Autism and fragile X syndrome, which were the two I had Cameron narrowed down to by the time he had turned a year old.
He is a beautiful child, though, with gorgeous features, brown hair, and sparkling green eyes, and to look at him, you may think he were completely normal. His speech is garbled, and was slightly delayed reaching some physical milestones, but his prognosis is very good for an autistic child--and unlike most autitic children, he is very playful and sweet-natured, though he is completely indifferent to certain people.
Though not a savant, he does demonstrate an absolutely astonishing audio-visual memory--as good as any I've ever seen. It seems to be his strongest ability, and I would like to take his diligence and attention to detail (which is very typical for an autistic) an couple it with that to make the most of his assets when seeking a job for him. What will the future hold for my son? I don't know. I know it is unlikely he will marry and have children of his own, but it is possible. Will he live in a group home? I don't know. I do know that with early help and the improving awareness of Autism the potential my son has will grow and develop just as he has.
I also know we will face all of the problems together. And I wouldn't have it any other way. 🙂

Yes, it was Proteus, not Neurofibromatosis, or "Elephantiasis" or "Elephantman Disease". Good site: http://www.parascope.com/articles/0397/elephant.htm
badsymbiote
Yes--and what if there were no way to determine that there would be something wrong.
Then **** it, have the baby and hope for the best. What I said was "If I knew", if I didn't know, then I get a child who will develop a disorder, I myself have a mild learning disorder, and I am just fine. BUT, if I can prevent suffering, then I will.
