Yes, they are, they are UNBORN children.

And if the woman had unprotected sex? Would it still not be her fault that she got pregnant? If you have unprotected sex, knowing what the consequences are, and get pregnant, I think that IS your fault, and you have no right expecting the taxpayer to pay to rid the result of your own stupidity.

We're talking about rape. In the part you quoted where I posted to Bullets, we were discussing rape. Rape pregnancy, get with the topic.

However, this:

Of course not, but women wouldn't need to have backyard abortions if they just got themselves a pill perscription, or got their partners to use a condom. If they get pregnant accidentley, have an abortion, it's still legal.

All I am saying, is that if a woman doesn't want to become pregnant, if she is not ready for a child, should take the necessary steps to prevent it from happening, which she can do.

...is the most sensible thing you've said in this thread. Women should always take precautions and then if things fail, the option for abortion is there. I agree with you.

Where we differ though, is that I believe it's her free choice to use it as birth control. I would never try to stop that despite disagreeing with it.

And that is all I was trying to say in the beginning. Take care of yourself, you won't need to have an abortion.

Or be a lesbian then you won't need one either.

Partial-Birth Abortions have been banned.

They haven't been banned yet, but it's up for consideration.

Or rather, they're going to discuss the constitutionality of laws banning them.

Just what I was thinking.

I mean come on people. This is the land of the f*cking free! The freedom of speech, the freedom of choice. How are we suppose to be free if the keep telling us we can't do this or that?

Parents tell children what they can and cannot do, and what is right and wrong.

We are all just grown up children and a little deluded to think that we are above rules and instruction from above ourselves, just because of our age.(look at all the awful things that humans have allowed to happen in this world in the last 200 years.)

It looks like they are just banning one form of abortion.

Nice Ayane signature by the way.

They are by state law in some places (to my understanding), and they're going to be debating whether or not it's constitutional or not.

Not here in Australia they haven't. I wish they were, there are still women who have late term abortions for non medical reasons.

In my opinion, if the fetus is viable, and healthy, he or she should be delivered alive, and adopted. I see no sense in killing a viable child, especially one that is healthy.

Pretty much my piece on abortion personally is I am against it but we shouldn't make it illegal either. If a woman needs it for medical reasons we should take care of her. If she decides for whatever reason otherwise she should pay.

The whole trimester comes into play with morality and its a small piece as well for instance...........

3rd trimester for me at least no abortion unless medical conditions.

The rest is pretty open for me cuz if you get to the 3rd trimester you better know what you want by then.

Good response. Well, I think so at least. A lot of people don't like to see abortion in this view.
Abortions aren't pretty things so if a women decides to get one it's in her best interest to do it early on. Point: Don't wait until the baby is almost mature enough to leave the womb and then have an abortion unless your life is at stake.
