I'll never NEED respect, because I don't thrive and run on the opinion of others. Learn from this.
To be on topic:
Do you believe there is a right and wrong on the issue of abortion, Mak? Because this issue and debate isn't going to get anywhere with you prancing around saying "That's your opinion" and viewing everyone with equal credibility, despite that clearly not being the case.

I believe that everyone has the right to an opinion, and no matter how wrong it may be, that opinion should be respected. Even if abortion isn't murder legally, I think that people are still entitled to say that they believe it is. It may not be right, but it is still an opinion, and should be respected. It's freedom of speech, really. People are able to walk around saying that black people are the scum of the earth, and we all know that's not true, but they can still do that, because it's their opinion, and their own free speech... 😕
I would think there is a right and a wrong side to abortion...
I don't like how pro lifers and pro choicers disrespect each other, because each side believes that their opinion is more important then the other, which isn't true, because both sides are equally important.
I'm talking nonsense, I know.

This is why the debate can go nowhere. If abortion is not murder, factually, and you continue to claim that you believe it is, despite facts being against you, that is stupidity Mak. Surely even you can see that.
It's like saying trying to debate that water isn't wet. It makes no sense to deny a fact. The fact that you think it's ok for people to hold and present this pathetic stance is why idiots are continually allowed back into the fray.
They have the FREEDOM to say it, sure. They are wrong, factually, therefore saying so is stupid. You wouldn't try to debate that the moon was black would you? No.

See, you admit you're talking nonsense, call yourself stupid (and admittedly post stupid things), but when I call you stupid, you whine and moan whilst telling me you deserve to be treated with respect.
Hypocricy indeed. If you KNOW you're talking nonsense, then please do it in another thread.

Your'e a f*cking assshole.
Here's your ball back.
(oh, and it's only murder due to a "factual definition" where you live, and only so because of a limited amount of knowledge as to when life begins and the correlating human rights begin. So your factual definition is only fact (for now) because of a certain viewpoint, which is still under contention, and in fact, being redefined right around us.)
In any event, I don't see how a fact, (still unproven) that comes from a certain "viewpoint" (i.e. the human fetus, while being alive, doesn't have the same human rights as it would if born.).... could ever be considered "factual" by anyone other than a 'tard like you.

What about a country where abortion is considered to be murder? How about...Vatican City. I'd imagine abortion would be illegal because it would be considered to be murder. If I lived there, and said that abortion was murder, I'd be right in saying that. I would be factually correct. But because I live in a a country where abortion is legal, I don't have the right to say that?
I don't think it matters what you believe, my thinking abortion is murder isn't stopping this thread from going anywhere, it's just people want others to think the same as they do, and I can't say that abortion ISN't murder if I just don't believe that. I never have, and never will.

No need for the quotation marks, it is factual.
It's not under any contention, my viewpoint anyway. The law here isn't under contention, and thankfully not. Either way, you shot yourself in the foot there. It's only being "challenged" in certain places by OTHER viewpoints, and we saw what happened in South Dakota when religious nutcases have their way.

Calm the insults down, I won't warn you again. Mind your manners when you speak to me or we may not be able to remain friends.
Now, unproven? The only thing unproven is this altruistic "Life begins at..." viewpoint of yours. The law here and in many places agrees with me, and it's been so for hundreds of years. Abortion isn't murder.
It's not just been confirmed by me, it's law here and the law of many other countries. I guess we're all 'tards, huh? Oh well, I guess I'll have to suffer loss of sleep over being called a tard by a man who swamps his ever flailing arguments with repeated insults, selfish oppressive views based on an ancient text and subjective belief, then tries to force that upon the females of the world like some kind of woman-fearing priest.

You wouldn't be right, you would be in-keeping with the opinion of the city.
In the world that isn't clouded by subjective belief and religion, abortion isn't murder. Involving religion in this debate is the worst thing to happen to this thread.

It is, because you are arguing from the point of view "Abortion is murder" when it's been factually proven to you by me, many others and in greater detail by VVD, and you still continue to try and refute a fact. It's futile.
Abortion isn't murder whether you agree or not. You continuing to argue from that standpoint is stopping the thread from progressing, because then people have to go BACK and reply, and continue to explain why it's not murder, factually. If you accepted that it isn't (you don't have to like it), then we could move on.

But the law regarding abortion isn't the same in every country, and you need to remember that. Here, and where you live, abortion isn't murder, but I'll bet there is at least one country where abortion is considered to be murder. If one country has different abortion laws, how can abortion NOT be murder? If it wasn't, wouldn't all countries have the same laws in place?

What is so bad about just using "killing"?
Absolutely, abortion with its current definitions isn't murder today basing this off of definitions established decades ago.
The definitions need to be looked at and redefined as what we know today is far greater then what we knew when the initial law was established. Regardless of where people stand on this issue at the end of the day when science is allowed to throw in their 2 cents and not from a religious standpoint then i believe we will see some significant changes in abortion law (that are much fairer then simply a yes you can and no you cannot answer.)
What we know of fetus's today and their development is LEAGUES ahead of where we where when the law was established for abortions.
