Moses did write these laws. Unfortunately, not everyone in the world is a christian, therefore they do not believe in these laws.

And I just slipped on a huge banana peel.

I thought God wrote them..... But he was too lazy to literally write them down so he got his spunk monkey Moses to do it.

It was God's words filtered down to Moses. Moses just documented them.

They deserve it.If there is no reason for them to insult me then I do that.Like everyone else I say what I mean and what I think. Not aiming at anyone at all and yet I am the one getting bashed all the time.
How does that make sence?

It wasn't an insult, and you haven't answered yet.

Incidentally, happy birthday.

You appear to be both 27 and 17, according to KMC.

Odd.

So yeah, I'm pretty much right... God's just lazy.

Odd.

When she was under the user name Jackie Malfoy, she told people, me including, that she was a 16 year old girl in school, her family had moved from Italy a couple years before. Not knowing any of the English language, she was still working on it. She had a twin sister who was always depressed and a boyfriend that her father didnt approve of... Lets see... oh her parents separated and her reason for leaving back then was that her father grounded her.... or something like that. 1-2 passes and she aged 10 years, is engaged to be married and and has been in the states a lot longer then what she said before.

I even made a thread defending her because I felt sorry for her...

Here

aww Mr Zero is in that one..

Will I be reported for this post?

I still think you are agood girl, with good intentions... just confused sometimes. 😉

so we are way off topic and partially my fault... how do we fix it hmm

I seen where it was said religion shouldnt be brought up in abortion talks... thats kinda hard to do if the persons reasons for their beliefs are based on their faith.

yes, no?

I'm contemplating posting in here again...hmm. I mean, I'll eventually get fed up and stop posting in this thread for several months, 'cause that's what has always happened in the past, but it's so tempting...

Ah, what the hell.

Re: The subjectivity of morality.

Morality is objective, not subjective. (What? You ask me to justify my position? Justify yours first.)

morality which is objective (impossible but for practicallity's sake we'll say it is) involves the basic rights of sentient human beings.

where it becomes subjective is when people declare that a ball of embryonic cells is factually a sentient being, because god puts a soul in those cells the moment of conception. can you honestly say that this part is really objective...like...i'm blatantly obtuse for not buying it?

Thank you.You are sweet as well! 🙂 If you were raised up to believe that abortion is wrong then you are stuck with that belief because that is what you are taught.
As for the faith part. Not all Christians are pro-life there are some who are pro-abortion that I know of.So it can't be all faith reasons for picking either one.jm 🙂

i guess that's true for people who are incapable of independant thought. (idiots, some say)

My mom is pro-life... but Im pro-choice. I didnt adobt the same 'side' that she sits on. She tried to instill certain beliefs into me but I didnt take to them.

This is so true. If I conformed to my families beliefs, I'd be like JIA.

way to put words in my mouth

i never said that to conform to your families beliefs makes you an idiot. what if you also happen to agree with those beliefs upon reflection (thats the key right there, usage of higher brain function.)

its the notion that someone has no choice because of what they were taught...to me that is the definition of an idiot.

if your family vies to instill beliefs in you, and you adapt those beliefs, you are conforming to them. just a different way of wording it, thats all.

Surprising really, given the source. Seems out of character.

you oversimplified and completely changed the point, so no its not just tomatoes/tomahtoes.

That's not true. There's a difference between adapting and conforming, RJ.

My parents raised me with beliefs, some I still agree with because I realised I did actually agree, some I do not.

It's not conforming, it's adaptation.
