No, it isn't, I'm not looking up anything. I used your source to confirm what I'm saying. Nowhere does it state in the constition that we are a democracy of any form.U.S. Constitution>> You word
In a Representive Democracy officials are directly elected by the People/Majority and Not the Electoral College like in the U.S.
Goodnight.
Actually, the Electoral College only elects the President, and the President does not create new laws. Thus, the United States is a Representative Democracy.
I digress, as you've already led us off the topic by your pigheaded inability to admit that you were wrong.
How many people here base their aversion to abortion on religion?
time for a humor break....watch this.

this is completely baseless, unsupported, and completely false

If that is the proof (which it isn't), you have just confirmed why abortion should stay completely legal.
for Jackie:
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/clinic/wars/faqs.html
There were 1.29 million abortions in the U.S. in 2002, the most recent year for which figures are available. Since abortion became legal in 1973, more than 42 million abortions have occurred in the U.S.Women under the age of 25 have 52 percent of abortions; teenagers have 19 percent.
Black women are more than 3 times and Latino women are 2 1/2 times as likely as white women to have abortions.
Two-thirds of all abortions are had by women who have never been married, and more than 60 percent are had by women who have one or more children.
43 percent of women having abortions are Protestant; 27 percent are Catholic.
Each year, approximately 13,000 women have abortions after being the victims of rape or incest.
that suggests that roughly 70% of all abortions in america are practiced on christians. assume what you wish about those particular christians, but there you have it. only 30% of people having abortions in america are not christian. now, filter out jews, buddhists, hindus etc and then you'll get the percentage which are 'godless' athiests, which is definately below 30% and likely far lower than that.
thats right. 7 out of 10 'baby killers' in america accept christ as their personal savior. HAHAHA
(thank you RJ for proving yourself useful...though im sure i shouldnt get used to it)

it simply renders athiesm irrelevant as a cause, though people will continue ignoring this point and tout 'godlessness' as the reason for 'killing babies' etc.
really there is no debate. its reality vs. lies and horseshit
Hypocrisy of conservatives? People really should look at the socioeconomic situation of the people getting abortions in the first place. With their small government diktat, most Republicans are actually encouraging abortion. I would bet that mothers with governmental support wouldn't consider abortion so easily.

*Sighs*
What have I been saying this entire debate? The United States is not a direct democracy. It is a representative democracy. That is what I've been saying. I've been telling you to look up these terms so you could differentiate between the two. I'm unwilling to debate you further, because you've distorted the debate into something trivial.

It doesn't need to be stated that it's a democracy, because it should be common knowledge. It is, but obviously this doesn't apply to you as you have no idea about anything.
