Agreed of course, but not having a shit childhood is better than having a shit one. So if a child isn't wanted and as a result a shit childhood is gonna come of it: Avoid the dumpster, avoid the bad childhood. Get an abortion.

I agree it's better for the mom and if you left it at that I'd have no objections. However, you seemed to be implying that never living at all is better than being adopted or having a shit childhood. Totally ridiculous as far as I'm concerned but I guess that's a matter of opinion.
Don't you think it is better to give a child a life instead of them not knowing how there life would had been?I mean how do we know that they would have a terrible life?
Also there is nothering wrong with being adopted.You have loving parents who love you and have a whole life ahead of you.When you get an abortion.

Actly there are kids that are doing that aready and they had good lifes.Just because you come from a bad family does not mean that you will be a raptist or anything like that.
Take me for exssample.I have two parents who are not married and had me when they were sixteen and eighteen.And we grow up just fine.I think that is silly if you are going to say that every kid who grow up in a horrible childhood is going to be bad when they grow up.

No it's never ok to take away rights, but anyone who argues that abortion is better for the kid is lying to themselves. Abortion is better for the mother, and if you have no problem with sacrificing a fetus that won't know the difference to save the mother the trouble of giving birth than you honestly have no problem with the truth of abortion. But if you think that you are somehow doing to fetus a favor by saving it from dealing with all the 'troubles of life' you seriously need to think again.
Jackie I am in no way calling the women who get abortions selfish. I'm sure it's never and easy decision and I think you should show a little more respect to people who have been through such things. I was simply stating that I don't agree with the people on this thread who argue that abortion is better for the kid than adoption.

An off hand crack was made about the abortion thing & I ran with it. It was totally my fault and a genuinely crappy thing to say. I was worked up about certain things that had been said and I let my emotions get the best of me without considereing the feelings of others, which is inexcusable. I am truly sorry to all that were offended and it will not happen again. If I do post in this thread any further it will be based on fact regarding the argument itself and not those doing the argiung....

Ah back to the heart of the debate....when does the fetus become a baby??? Some states passed laws allowing people to be held accountable for the murder of unborn children....so when is the line drawn? It is selfish if the mother is aborting the baby to have a better life....not all cases fit this particular reasoning....but for this particular motive....selfish fits well

i didnt assume you made it up afro. just that in the fetus definition it doesnt say baby once. The definition of baby is going to include fetus' because baby is such a broad term, a foetus is an undeveloped child, an undeveloped baby even, but still undeveloped. That is the difference with me.
i don't support abortion that much either way, i support freedom of choice.
i believe abortion can be wrong, but i believe it could also be right sometimes. labelling it as one or the other is a bit ridiculous imo.
