He used the ship, and if that's what it takes to break Superman ribs, then that is pretty freaking laughable. Can you show me anything in that scene that reference Superman ribs being softened during that scene or weakening him.

His powers are obviously complete including his strength and speed when he is at 100% power. The guy was in pain during the onset of his fight with Superman.
