Barsen'thor Respect Thread
Since apparently SWTOR characters are "obscure" despite TOR being the largest Star Wars game ever released, I will be creating a few threads for some of the more prominent characters from the game so that people who do not play it can get abreast with their abilities. I'm not sure exactly who needs this treatment but at the moment I plan on doing a thread each for:
The Hero of Tython
The Barsen'thor
Darth Nox
The Grand Champion of the Great HuntThe Voidhound
Darth Thanaton
Darth Malgus
Satale Shan (?)Not Nomi Sunrider.
And heres a link to XSUPREMEXSKILLZ thread on the Second Emperor's Wrath.
My thanks to xLetalis, for all the videos shown in this thread. 👆
Accolades:
“A gifted padawan.” - SWTORE pg. 98
“Embodying true skill and dedication, the padawan confronts the spirit of an ancient Jedi known as Rajivari and defeats a vengeful young man who had pledged himselves to Rajivari's teachings. Impressed by these exceptional achievements, the Jedi Council promotes Yuon's Padawan to full membership as the Orders newest Consular. However, this powerful Jedi's adventures have only begun...” - SWTORE pg. 98
“in a climactic final battle with the galaxy at stake, these two masters of the Force cross sabers.” - SWTORE pg 99
"A Jedi who was stronger in the Force at four than I was at fifteen?" - Master Yuon Par
“I have been fool. Spoke false. You are no small hunter. Cannot be other. Scorekeeper has seen. Chosen for greatest honor. You are Herald of Scorekeeper. Chosen one, Herald. Of great power, skill, honor, Scorekeeper sees and favors.” - Qyzen Fess. Apparently the Consular is such a good fighter that Qyzen was sure she was his deities herald. I wonder what the hell she did.
“I've been treating Nalen Raloch. The pilgrims who brought him here told us of your battle. Remarkable.” - Satele Shan
"There's a title reserved for the most prestigious among us, whose wisdom and skill safeguard the galaxy. It hasn't been bestowed in thousands of years." - Master Jaric Kaedan
"But you have proven worthy. Now the Council names you Barsen'thor, Warden of the Order." - Master Syo Bakarn
Feats and defeated opponents:
Nalen Raloch
A Twilek who found Rajivari's holocron and learned the ways of the Force:
9feSEeca2wg&feature=youtu.be
13.00. He rips a large chunk of the ceiling of a cave down, which leads to the cave collapsing. The Consular must then fight through Flesh Raiders to escape the soon-to-be-tomb. Nalen is the best fighter of the Twileks on Tython and is skilled enough to track down and easily defeat Qyzen Fess, who himself is an extremely good fighter based on the stories he tells and others descriptions of him (I'll elaborate if needed). The Consular then defeats Nalen in a fight, which was apparently incredibly impressive since it convinced Qyzen the Consular was an avatar of his god and even Satele Shan comments on how remarkable it was.
Yuon Par
The plague turns Yuon insane and the Consular is forced to defeat her in a battle to subdue her. Defeating a Jedi Master so early in their career is pretty damn impressive imo.
Mysterious Sith + Two Sith Acolytes
13.10. A mysterious disciple of Vivicar attacks the Consular after they've learned the Shielding Technique needed to help the Jedi Masters afflicted by the plague. Fought with two sith acolytes. He shows good lightning, destroying the Noeticon computer with a burst of it, but the Consular dodges his lightning twice in succession and smacks him down with a Force push.
Lifts and throws a large chunk of metal
4.30. As I've said earlier that chunk its pretty damn huge. About the size of a school bus and appears to be solid metal. I estimate it to weigh a few hundred tons. Extremely impressive for how easily she throws it and how far.
Smashes through a huge blast door.
Its in the same video as the one above, but at 11.35. As I've said in the past, that door is ****ing huge and thick. And the Consular busts through it with one hand, bending it like play dough.
Master Tykan
One of the most talented Jedi Masters in the Order (as said in swtore about all the Jedi Masters the Consular visits in Act 1). Tykan was the best survival expert in the Order. His skills allowed him to thrive in the deadliest and most dangerous environments. Powerful enough to kill two soldiers through throwing them a huge distance into a wall.
Master Fain
Again, he's one of the most notable Jedi Masters in the Order. His best trick though seems to be his telepathy since he tries to mentally dominate the Consular, however Theran Cedrax uses an exo-tech device to nullify his mental influence. This bit confused me, since I don't really see why the dude could influence the Consular even without that device. She's more powerful than he is after all. Eh, I guess he's just really good at it or something. Strikes me as contrived though.
Jedi Knight Leranna
Master Fain's daughter. Fought off an imperial ambush, but was infected by the plague and killed a shitton of Republic soldiers. The Consular fought through reprogrammed war droids to get to her before defeating her in combat. However, Leranna proved rather powerful, flooring the Consular with a Force Push before threatening to flush herself out of the airlock.
Master Eriz
Yep, kicked another ones ass. Eriz was noted as a Jedi Master who survived the harshest environments, studying the most dangerous cultures. Moving on...
Master Sidonie
23.20. A rather impressive display of telekinesis at the start of the fight, Master Sidonie rips apart a large statue, using it as missiles against the Consular. One thing to remember with these fights is that the Consular uses the Shielding Technique on each master after the fight, greatly weakening her (as noted by everyone afterwards). The strain of the technique is so great the the last Jedi who used it died from the strain. So its important to remember that the Consular is becoming weaker and weaker with each duel. Its highly badass that she still manages to beat these Jedi Masters despite this handicap, while still being barely out of her padawan training. The Consular surely is one of the most gifted prodigies in the mythos in my opinion.
Yuon Par (Possessed)
While attempting to locate Lord Vivicar through the connection via his plague, Vivicar also makes use of that connection and possesses her, attacking the Consular. Yet again the Consular triumphs over her Master, freeing her from Vivicars influence but is forced to use the Shielding Technique on her again, weakening her even further. Important to note that Yuon is drawing off of the Consular's power while this is happening and she STILL won the fight. Goddamn! How much power does she have?!
Tanked an explosion that destroyed a blast door.
9.30. The Consular is forced to get through a blast door by striking some explosive barrels with her lightsaber. The explosion consumes the door completely, but the Consular is unharmed. A n amazing feat of defense. Also those of you who would argue gameplay, having to do this is written in the quest text and the barrels are the only way to get through.
Fought through hordes of Brainwashed Republic troops.
The Consular is forced to fight through a star destroyer of dominated Republic soldiers to get to Vivicar. At 10.50 in the above video you can see that some of them have been enhanced through Sith alchemy to grow to giant size.
Lord Vivicar
Vivicar is really a Jedi Knight called Parkanus, who was possessed by the spirit of the ancient Sith Lord Morrhage. Morrhage was a powerful Sith Lord, a threat to the entire Jedi Order while he was alive through the use of his plague, infecting Masters throughout the galaxy and in death he was able to defeat a team of 6 Jedi Knights, almost consuming them with his powers. According to SWTORE he possesses 'terrifying power'. In the game he displays this, able to heal the near fatally wounded Leranna, able to dominate hundreds of Republic troops (Permanently. Even after his defeat they fight for him) and enhance them with alchemy and able to overwhelm the mind and power of Yuon Par and use her as a puppet to fight the Consular. He was also able to infect hundreds of Jedi Masters across the galaxy with his plague. Its clear that he was a badass in his own right, extremely powerful.
Now what's more is his plague and this is where it gets truly legendary. His plague does not just weaken and kill the masters and drive them insane, but also siphons power from them that Vivicar can channel with the proper rituals. Which he performs before the fight. And bare in mind that Vivicar had infected HUNDREDS of Jedi Masters.
Finally recall that the Consular has been vastly weakening herself through saving the Jedi Masters AND had to fight through his capital ship filled with soldiers to get to him.
And she still defeats him.
In my opinion, this is one of the greatest feats any Jedi has ever performed in the entire mythos.
