He’d take the explosion. Like he absorbed the energy of the Mageddon warhead, or like when he took the explosion that would have cracked the Earth in half during the Back in Action storyline.

Relative to Amerca the anime is cannon. It in fact came first. I am waiting on people to actually specify the characters in these battles, default however is anime.

I mean he's only taken an attack that could destroy half a galaxy.

Not to mention characters get stronger over time and 16 years ago he took this:
Superman surviving the destruction of a sun eater at ground zero. The sun eater is an enormously energetic cloud that literally eats both the energy and mass of whole stars. The sun eater was considerably larger than a star, had been in existence for millenia and had consumed the energy of many stars by travelling from galaxy to galaxy.

And yet, superman has been knocked unconscious by an explodeing gas-station. Im not sidestepping his incredible feat that was just stated and i was well aware of it coming into this debate, im only using it to illustrate that you cannot simply shave off other showings as if they never happened. (Dont worry, i fully acknoweldge how retarded superman being ko'ed by a gas station is)

Yet if there are scans of Superman getting knocked out by exploading gas stations and other shameful feats. ...

I'll agree this is a nice feat to use as evidence for what Superman can withstand but cell can also withstand alot while also using regen from what seems to be tottal oblivion.

Not to mention there are so many contradictory scans of superman's durability.

I hope those two haven't forgotten that I have them on ignore and are wasting their time responding to any of my posts.

I don't waste my time when responding to Cresh's post. The debate isnt just between me and him, its a large discussion happening between multiple folks

If you would like to see why I and Extra Mission were put on ignore please read the super buu vs thanos thread starting from pages 23. You will see that we did nothing that would cause someone to be put on ignore other than debating and he could not handle it.

Goku struggled with 40 tons in the Buu Saga. This is one of the first times Toriyama directly linked to a strength cap, so it should take utter precedence.

Superman of today would easily take this (Since OWAW, IC and the recent Action Comics have him doing ridiculous things), as he is obviously written much stronger today than he was 10 years ago. Even more recently, he tanked a blast of 50 supernovas, which is at least 50 times more impressive than Cell's statement that he could bust a single solar system.

Superman of the early 90s would likely lose. Back then, he was hurt by nuclear explosions and KO'd by a gas station, among other shameful things.

As far as canon is concerned (No idea on the anime), Superman wins.

Goku did that as a CHILD in dragonball!!! Goku was able to move "faster than lightning" in EARLY Dragonball. That is a high end Superman feat which is a really low one for Goku.

Popo said he was going to teach him to become as fast lightning. This was in the manga.

Of course, we don't know if Goku actually learned anything from that. He certainly wasn't as "calm as the wind", either, so I doubt the credibility of it 😄

Don't bother with Phenomenol. He insists the Odin fight where galaxies were destroyed was "metaphorical".
