Daniel Alfredson To Direct 'Girl Who Played With Fire'

Daniel Alfredson will helm "The Girl Who Played With Fire," the second film in the Millennium trilogy, based on the bestselling crime novels by Stieg Larsson.
The first, "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," is being helmed by Danish director Niels Arden Oplev, with its premiere set for early 2009. Production on No. 2 will start in late 2008. It is still not official who will helm the third one, "The Air Castle That Crumbled." The first film is for theatrical, while the other two will go straight to DVD and ancillary.
