Rose McGowan To Star As 'Red Sonja'

Nu Image/Millennium will remake "Red Sonja" with Rose McGowan in the title role, with Robert Rodriguez producing alongside Avi Lerner, Boaz Davidson, Joe Gatta and George Furla.
"Red Sonja" is based on the character created by Robert E. Howard and adapted for Marvel Comics by Roy Thomas. Story centers on a young girl who becomes the most feared woman warrior of all time as she seeks vengeance on those who destroyed her family.
