This comic shows Wolverine getting clocked in the face twice by
Namor and he doesn't even fall. That is downright retarded.
Scientifically impossible even.
Wolverine weighs 300 lbs. Namor can lift at least 85 tons.
Any hit by Namor should send Wolvie flying.
In the latest Wolverine issue, Daredevil sends Wolvie flying
across his living room with a good kick, but he barely budges when
Namor punches him square in the face twice????
C'mon....
Marvel needs to start setting some standards here.
It's clear that Wolvie's popularity is dictating the way he's written lately.
And that's a shame, cause they're ruining a great character.

Couldn't agree more...its really getting quite silly...I mean walking away from Nuclear explosions...surviving being thrown into the sun..lol..they might as well add a big "S" insignia to his costume and give him the ability to fly... 😆

I know people keep on mentioning it, but I've still yet to see that nuclear explosion survival. Do you know what issue that is? Yes, it sounds like based on a number of post that he's becoming incredibly inconsistent, but try not to discredit him completely in winning any fight based on certain flukes in writings.
And also, Jughead from Archie comics has a trademark "S" on his shirt and unless you ignore the "Captain Hero" version of him, his only unique power is eating large amounts of food without gaining weight.
I must admit..I've never really seen the nuclear explosion bit..I've just heard it mentioned so much on this forumn..I've thought it to be true..
I have seen some other pretty ridiculous things however...In a punisher comic..I believe it was Garth Ennis's Punisher limited...Wolvie was blown up by a bomb...only his upper torso and part of his legs remained..and he was able to regenerate everything....I think the Sun incident took place during an issue where Wolvie encountered Galactus...I might be wrong however....I got rid of all my comic books several months ago because they were taking up waay too much space....I had like 5000 comics..mostly Marvel..and didn't read the damb things....

I cannot validate some of those pieces, but he did not fall into the sun during the Galactus encounter. He flayed at him and damaged his claws (bone only) while trying, but never played a significant role during the encounter.
and let's not forget that 2 issues ago in Wolverine,
he fights The Thing and with ONE SHOT he puts
Thing on his hands and knees!?! Like a dog!?!
He goes toe-to-toe with the Hulk regularly,
but one shot from Wolvie and he's on his hands & knees?!?
Is there no end to this madness??
I think we should start writing Marvel to regulate themselves
before they shove a cosmic cube up Wolvie's butt and put an
Infinity Gem on each of his claws. That might please a few fanboys,
but I think the rest of us might get a bit miffed.
Yeah ridiculous upgrades and downgrades, and upgrades, and downgrades, and up----(well you get the point) aside, the nuke incident takes place in the venom mini-series during the RUN story arch (if you want I'll post pics) it's not really surviving the nuclear explosion that bothers me about that, but that fact that he did it at ground zero,......AAAAAAAAAANNNNDD his pants didn't have one tear on em......hey waitaminute, Wolverine wasn't waering these "superpants" when he was fighting namor was he? I think I may have just solved the mystery!
Wolverine took the nuke in Venom 7 or 8. Wolverine taking a nuke is bad on its own... and this happened right after he regenerated 90% of his flesh in a like a minute! Wolverine survived the sun thanks to the Phoenix force... I think... Well she didn't seem to help him much; he was after all a burning mass while she talked to him asking if he had regrown his eyes yet... maybe it was all him but I doubt it.
There is a difference between being punched an being stabbed and since unlike the Hulk, Thing has no healing factor it isn't such a stretch that he would be seriously hurt from being stabbed. The reason Wolverine didn't get send flying by Namor first two punches is because he shifted his weight and rolled with the punches (It has been said many time that this his how Wolverine manages to stay in close combat) which is why Namor direct hit sent him fly.
EDIT: Super pants! They were unharmed after standing in the explosion of an oil refinery! Wolverine's must have the same tailor as the Hulk; his pants have survived at least two nukes.
I don't care how well you roll with punches.....85 tons of force
concentrated in a fist is gonna knock you back. Especially if your
no where near that strong yourself.
Wolverine's body mass/weight would feel like a teddy bear to someone
as strong as that. I'm not saying Wolverine wouldn't put up a fight.
But i'm just tired of the misrepresentation of Wolverine's power.
In fact, in that issue Wolverine was just taking shots. He wasn't even
moving around to avoid getting hit. He's supposed to have some of
the best fighting skills on the planet. He leaped straight at Namor from
high ground while Namor just waited for him with a steel girder in his
hands. Then swatted Wolvie like a Sosa home-run.
That's not exactly what I call using your "fighting skills."
See what I mean. They can't even write him consistently anymore.
I think wolverine is not missenterperated... I think the fact is a class .8 strength, 800 pounds, cannot even penetrate the symbiote.
Wolverine has a medium regenerative property, unbreakable bones, and some pretty good fighting abilities... Thats it.
Spiderman has a spider sense, which would drastically help him against attacks from Wolverine, he has super-human reflexes, a class 10 strength, super-human fighting abilities, he can take a big amount of damage because of his spider like endurance, and dont forget his webbing has the power of iron cables, he can jump impressively high, wall climb, and web-sling all over extremely quickly.
Eventually, spiderman would win... He has too many advantages towards wolverine.
so what, so do a ton of the characters that wolverine fights, doesn't change the fact that this fight already happened in a comic that was truer to both the characters at the time than any comic have been for the past several years, and wolverine tagged spiderman in the face, all he needed were his claws OUT and the fight would have been done then and there, but he didn't want to kill spidey, and the fight ended in a draw regardless.
second of all, wolverine can't penetrate a symbiote the same has he can't the hulk,,,,,,however, his claws can, his claws are beyond diomand sharp, AND indestructible, so wolverine shouldn't have a problen penetrating venom's symbiote, hell, blaze did that with a regular knife.
And finally, no one is a match for wolverine as long as he retains his SUPERPANTS!
A punch from the Sub Mariner should do more then knock Wolverine back it should all but vaporise him and rupture his brain and every other organ in his body but heres the thing Wolverine has 30 years of fighting people as stronger or stronger then Namor and as much as you dislike it, it is part of his character.
More often then not Wolverine his fighting some one leagues stronger then him or someone with a healing factor; the fights with street levels are the odd ones out and not the other way around. For more then the first 10 years of his comic history normal people couldn't even make him flinch with full on punches to the face, infact they were breaking their wrists, and the same should happen to the likes of DD, the Punisher and most human level street levels.
omfg, you guys are fanboying on Wolverine...
Beating a freaking symbiote...
couple words...
You guys dont know crap about symbiotes to think they can be cut through, even by diamonds or whatever other primitive earth rock you can think of.
Missingnin, sadly Wolverine beat namor up in the New invader issue 6... it was kinda sickening.
Thats what I was referring to, he also fought Namor in Namor's own book a while ago and had a good showing; I think he was bone claw at the time also.
Symbiotes have been shown that they can only take so much damage before the start to level exposed area's of the host; this is a fact. Wolverine has and will continue to cut things with greater resistance (Thing, Mimic, Hulk, Ghost Rider) then that of Venom so it isn't far fetched that he would cut venom.
What the hell are you on you friggin idiot? Calling people fanboys because they state that something that did happen....happened, is not fanboyism, it is the very escence of supporting a hypothesis with research and facts.
second, no one said anything about beating a symbiote since that;s a hard feat to accomplish.
Third, Wolverine has cut through venom with his blades, blaze did it with a knife, some retard messed up his symbiote with the edge of a sheild.... just cause the symbiote can "catch" bullets doesn't mean it's as indestrucible as you would claim. I don't know crap about symbiotes my ass!
You should stick to the mask, at least you know what he's all about.
