Unless you were serious, in which case I think I should inform you that Spidey is their superior in both speed AND agility. Especially agility. His agility is what makes him so successful in his crimefighting career. Spidey is most likely the most agile character Marvel has ever created.

There really isn't any way Wolverine can win in a straight fight unless there's a fluke event that helps him.

Wolvie's already punched spidey, if he had his claws out you'd all be argueing that he shouldn't have killed him. No way he could win, pish posh!.

the point is that everyone says that wolverine can't even hit spidey, but they're wrong cause he already has. OK, WHAT I'm saying is that wolverine's image has grown since he first made his first appearance. I've read a comic book where spiderman took the whole of the xmen on once and punched wolverine aside like a bag of beans. Now, wolverine's surviving nuclear explosions? Good grieve!! and even going to hang out in the sun? Goodness gracious? What level of IQ are we to apply to comics these days? No wonder my friends think it's for kids!

We've got to keep it real man! Cant be so far fetched that it starts to look like Mickey and Donald duck series! You know? Like where the cat's head is blown up and it reappears again as if nothing's happened to it!
Like in Tom and Jerry where arful things happen to Tom but in later scenes, he's all recovered!

secondly the old school spiderman comics are just ridiculous, the chameleon can make a web shooter and KNOWS that its not has strong as spiderman's despite never having encountered the guy before, Spiderman makes his webshooters from tools right out of his own home,,,,wtf?

Wolverine isn't as tough as he was in the 80's so save a few appearances he has in fact been down graded.

StrawNilla you can think what you want but Spider-man's speed is not so far above the street level martial artist to make a real difference in a fight... unless you think we should ignore 90% of Spider-man's showings against the likes of DD, Iron Fist, Shang Chi and Wolverine.

WELL WELL WELL, In the comic book of old spidey used to fight so many guys at once and even in the film says things appear much slower to him. The in built spider sense tips him off so wolverine shouldn't be able to touch him if he had the claws out! The spider sense would warn him big time! Shouldn't the metal in wolverine slow him down? Come on guys, anyay lets just vote and move on to....

I think i figured it out. Spiderman's speed has been serverly misused. It's a travelling speed, not a moving speed. I'm sure that when he's sling across the city he's 15X faster than a human. His limbs sure as hell don't move that fast, as per srankmissingnin's examples.

As for fluctuation of power, that happens to all characters. I agree they've gone too far with Wolvie, but that in no way discredits that he has an honest to goodness chance of killing Spiderman.

It would be a different story if he had his claws out and tried to hit him! Capeesh? Cool? Because you wont be worried about getting hit if it aint goiing to damage you. Boxers get hit in fights but they avoid the big bombs. There's the jab and the hook and the uppercut! The jab is the weakest!

You seem to know just enough about boxing to fake that response. The jab is the most formidable tool in the unarmed fighting world period. A fighter like Wolverine would not throw a "weak" punch being one of the most formidable fighters in the Marvel U.
