i don't generally get irked by replies in this forum - hey, to each their own belief i say - but . . .

first - i was having a semi-civil discussion with jinzin, and i seriously doubt he needs - or wants for that matter - YOU fighting his battles.

second - just because YOU 'discussed' something doesn't mean the issue is 'settled' - in other words, i don't much care that YOU believe the issue with webbing was dealt with and dismissed.

third - i was referring to spidey's lack of using his webs in the issue in question. course, knowing what i know now, i understand WHY he didn't use them: clearly spidey caught wind of the fact that YOU have settled the issue and told him the webs would be ineffective.

i was willing to agree to disagree with jinzin - we both have our views as to who will win, and we moved on. no big deal for either of us. i'm willing to do the same with you. clearly you're a wolvie fan and won't move from your stance that he'd beat spidey. no problem. respect my opinion that spidey would beat HIM. but, seriouly, do me a favor - don't tell me what i have or haven't done, it's ignorant and irksome. and besides, the only alternative to it is to force me to express what i think your opinions are truly worth.

and, please, if you insist on rebutting, do it with some class.

I Disagree. Clearly mercilous is a jinzin fan

<<I Disagree. Clearly mercilous is a jinzin fan>>

i really shouldn't be laughing so hard at that, i mean i just blasted the guy for piling on . . .

but damn, mister, that's funny . . . (sorry mercilous . . .)

lol......man....why do you mofos gatta be such insulting bastards alllllllllllll the time?
lol
man mister that was pretty low...even from my point of view......i expected better from you......I'll retort you later leonidas....

<<lol......man....why do you mofos gatta be such insulting bastards alllllllllllll the time?
lol>>

hey, i resent that! well, okay, i don't REALLLYYY resent it, though, looking back, i may have been a little harsh. 'pologies all around. but, you know what they say about glasses houses and stones . . .

I couldn't help myself 😮‍💨 I just hate seeing the main man sounding like a hype man. ( I hope That this post wasn't too long ) But still I owe mercilous a "My bad" cause I might agree with him later on😬
but I doubt it

A good illustration of that is when Spidey and Wolvie switched bodies, and Wolvie made damn good use of the strength.

See I was right, I thought I might quote you. 😄 Did this body switchin thing really happen? I'm guessing that I can take your word for it so I'll just reply with- I always said that Spidey holds back almost constantly!!

<<I always said that Spidey holds back almost constantly!!>>

agreed. it's when he cuts lose, which happens so rarely, that he's capable of beating almost anyone. people also tend to forget that, though he's not reed richards, his brain ranks among the tops in the MU. spidey will find a way to win most battles. (re: amazing #32-35 spidey v morlun - a true classic)

No, you posted on a discussion forum, are your points not open to debate? Plus I'm not fighting jinzin's battles, I'm fighting the the battle on jinzin's side (I thought the point was to take sides in a debate, just my opinion.)

I'm just tired of argueing the same thing over and over again and i'm convinced that if you read the whole thread you'd see it my way.

Ya damn skippy.

Actually I don't agree, if I did what would be the point of posting?

I'm sure you go that from my lobo avatar and sig.

Respect your opinion? I spit on that. Irksome sure, ignrant no, it was a very logical assumption.

Actually, it's cool, unlike most I enjoy a good riveting, I forget others don't and sometimes lay in pretty hard myself, but it's never meant to be taken personally and I certainly don't do so myself.

I don't.

Too bad it's taken all out of context. Anyway, yeah it did happen, but i'm not sure if it was in continuity. The point was what a person with training could do with Spidey's strength, obviously we already know what spidey can do with it.

merc sayeth:

<<No, you posted on a discussion forum, are your points not open to debate?>>

debate, yes. have i posted to be insulted? no. look, merc, i've had plenty of very fun, intelligent debates on this forum. yours was the first insulting reply.

<<Actually I don't agree, if I did what would be the point of posting?>>

you don't agree? what's the point of posting? the point of posting is to express opinions intelligently and in a non-insulting manner. once opinions have been expressed to the point where it is clear neither side will budge, debates turn to arguments. if people would stick to debating and expressing opinions, you wouldn't need people to be 'sub mods', because arguments and fights/flames wouldn't happen. if you can't agree to disagree, well . . . (scratches head in puzzlement . . .)

and, my favourite: <<Respect your opinion? I spit on that.>>

you 'spit' on respecting someone's opinion, eh? at least it explains the above a little bit. but then you even go on to say the original insulting remark was 'logical'. logical would have been saying: 'ya know leo, we talked about the webs issue earlier, did you happen to check it out?' to which i'd have said, 'ya, i checked it. just didn't agree with some of what was said.' i wonder, does this sound familiar:

<<So I ask again that members take it upon themselves to politley ask other members to cease any inconsiderate behavior.>>

i wonder: is spitting on someone's opinions considered 'inconsiderate'? in any event, i think we've taken up more than enough space with this . . . discussion. seriously, PM me if you want to continue. and 'pologies to all forced to read this. oh - and spidey rocks wolverine! (lame attempt to get back on thread . . .) 🙂

Watch this, I'm gonna quote myself.

There it is!

So chill.

okay just to clear somethin up....the reason I think spidey didn't use his webbing in the grave yard fight is because he COULDN'T....he was scared that if he let up on logan for even ONE moment he might die.....so he kept his assault ON as fast and as hard as he could without giving logan an instant to go on the offensive....for the little good it did him anyways....lol

i can't debate the fact that he was scared - it was clearly shown. i will restate the fact that it is LUDICROUS that he was shown to be to scared (he didn't appear too scared in the secret wars!) and, IF he was so scared, doesn't it make sense he would STEP BACK from the fight and USE his webs??

and that pic of wolvie's skeleton i mentioned . . . cripes i don't remember WHEN i mentioned it! -- it's in the handbook and shows his neck is NOT lined with adamantium (which only makes sense if you think about it - just vertrae and cartilege in your neck) so to answer a very EARLY debate - yes, spidey COULD have broken his neck. in a thread i started in comic movies, others pointed out a couple instances where his bones have been dislocated or broken. doesn't answer the question if he could have broken the neck or been stabbed first . . . but we know where each of us stands on THAT issue. cripes, do we EVER . . . heheheh.

never mind - i see you checked the thread. but c'mon, explain to me HOW/WHY it should take hulk strength to wreck . . . CARTILEGE!? it has nothing whatsoever to do with moving the bones - it has everything to do with seperating them at their weak points. tell me it's 'just a comic' and i'll buy that. but at least admit to the . . . illogical-ness of the thing. (and yes, we can obviously say LOTS of stuff is illogical in comics - but we're not talking about the other stuff! heheh!)

You mean in the venom suit? And people don't always do things that make sense when they're scared.

And there have also been many examples that show Wolvies bones as being inseperable and fused with adamantium threwout the joints.

If it has to make sense let's just forget the super powers.

<<And there have also been many examples that show Wolvies bones as being inseperable and fused with adamantium threwout the joints.>.

but that's just the point - if the joints were fused with adam., then he wouldn't be able to move. as i said, in the only x-ray pic i know of, it is clear labelled that his joints are NOT adam., only the long bones are so laced. i guess it just boils down to the fact that - like the rest of wolvie - i think his skeleton is overrated!

and are you saying you think he went through the xmen because he had the venom suit? if so, i'll disagree. he could have done the same thing in a regular costume - or NO costume for that matter. just needed the webs.

Watch out! I'm quoting myself again! Oh, this is so exciting!

There it was! Did you see it?! Man that was great!

see what?

and things still need to make sense within their own context or everything around it rings false. unfortunately, i can't really make clear WHY i have a problem with this, nor can i explain why other things don't make the context ring false. ie - thing is made of stone and he moves, colossos is made of steel, he moves, and i accept these things. but i will not accept wolverine's spine being laced completely through with adamantium or he wouldn't be able to move. the only alternative - his neck and back CAN be broken. call it anti-fanboyism if you must, though that's not really it. just can't explain it any better. hrmph.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAAAAHAHAHAAAAAHAHAAA!!!!

Things have to make sense! then pluck out Cyclop's eyes but don't get sucked in to the pocket dimensions within! You wanna know why no one's ever explained how spidey sticks to walls? Because when you try he grows little hairs on his fingers.

Things in comics only get worste when you try to explain them man, just leave it be. That's my advice.

It was explained. It was like an electro-static attraction or something fancy like that. That's why Electro can make him stop sticking to things.

<<It was explained. It was like an electro-static attraction or something fancy like that. That's why Electro can make him stop sticking to things.>>

thanks swaky. and MOST things CAN be explained (even if the explanations are a bit . . . hairy) organic steel let's colossos move. organic rock let's thing move. but adam., is the strongest thing in the universe. if his spine and neck are laced with it . . . he . . . shouldn't . . . be able to move! hence - his neck and back CAN indeed be broken.

but you're right on one thing merc - i AM leaving this alone! this is absolutely my last post on this thread . . . unless some fanboy starts up again . . . heheh.
