i think 90% of you guys need to read the comics. cuz if you did youd realize these guys fought in a comic book called spiderman vs wolverine and every debate on the twos abilities against each other was pretty much addressed 😛
spiderman is faster, but wolverine was able to keep up with him because of his skills or whatever. he was actually spooking spidey so bad that he couldnt rely on his own senses anymore and had to focus on his spider sense and nothing else. it took him awhile to actually land a punch. to his credit though wolverine didnt land a hit the entire fight.
but spiderman cant hurt wolverine with his strength anyway. as spiderman punches wolverine against a tombstone with everything hes got, wolvey smiles. spiderman says that those punches would turn an ordinary mans head to jello. spidey realizes that nothing he can do can put wolverine down, unless he snaps his neck and kills him, which he couldnt bring himself to do. wolverine capitalized on his hesitation and put his claws to his throat.

Dude... everybody here is familiar with that fight and 10 other encounters.
It can be argued that Wolverine was holding back, seeing as he had no problem tagging Spider-Man in Web of Spider-Man that took place after that story. It's not his style killing youngsters anyway.
Green Scar Hulk couldn't snap Logan's neck with his haymakers, Spidey ain't doing shit. That skeleton of his is interconnected somehow, be it microscopical chains (some editor supposedly stated that) or something else. Even if he did that though, it wouldn't kill current version of the character.

and in graveyard fight it was made clear he had no other choice because Parker kept on coming and Logan was running out of time. You can say that Logan wasnt happy about it, but you can't argue that he was going for the kill, just look at the pages. And he didnt stab Parker when he was wailing on him simply because he couldnt "he's starting to get the message". All he could do at that point was try to freak Parker out, hence the smiling. And if we're going down that road, Parker said he's moving way slower than he normally would.
By "mistake" you mean saving Logan's life? 😎 All those times only count if you include a few CIS examples and non-fights. And even then someone like Ox has a beter record of tagging Parker. Because there's a huge difference between avoiding deadly claws and ordinary punches.
Yeah, all he managed to do is slightly cut his beard even though Parker was just standing there right next to him not even attempting to fight. CIS. And when Logan tried to gutt him SM dodged, even though he was exausted, having not slept for weeks.
This is what happens to Jigsaw when artists do not mistake him for a class 50 superhuman.

But with webbing it definitely makes it easier.

More info so I can find the issue. It's actually harder for Logan to stay calm than to unleash the beast, so yeah, he was holding back, even if only to that degree.

There are other options than killing, for example crippling him or injuring the right way. Wolverine has extraordinary control over his blades, as seen dozens of times (he needs to have when a simple wave of his hand slices steel). Same with him getting hit, one accidental wave of his hand and Spidey ends up getting cut in half. It was addressed in X-Men's encounter with Stryfe, when Colossus shitted himself.
Freak him out? LoL. He's just getting off it 😂 Perfect examples would be his fights with Iron Fist or Roughouse...

When someone lives as long as Wolverine and goes through all kinds of hell (figuratively and literally), he deserves peace. No, using the Comic Cube and disturbing the universal balance is not recommended.

It was a clean cut, in the place he landed the hit the beard was severed.
Logan just returned from the afterlife, he couldn't think straight, but whatever.
