My favourite character? Hmmmm, probably Willy Wonka, and Gene Wilder captured his slightly sinister air very well.

I think the original was great and while I don't mind a remake, I don't like the description of the original as sappy. I thought it was a classic; much as chitty chitty bang bang was.

For the record........

There is not going to be a Willy Wonka remake.

They are making a movie called "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" based on the book. Willy Wonka was based on the same book......but was a bastardized musical version of the book.

The new Charlie in the Chocolate Factory movie will be nothing like that farse of a musical, Willy Wonka. It is going to be a real movie........it is based on the book, not a previous movie.....therefore it is not a remake.

I think it would be pretty sick for Manson to be Wonka, even if it is directed by Tim Burton, that would be TOO weird!

Christopher Walken would be awesome! He could be pleasant towards the children while still having that cynical side that says "I'm going to put traps in my factory for the naughty horrid children!" LOL

Gene Wilder had phsycho eyes, I totally agree.... but he was good actor. (I think he's still alive actually)

he is....he just scares the crap outta me, freaky eyes, nose, and the HAIR. Just him as a person scares me. That is my phobia, geneowilderphobia 😖 I am serious about this. I am afraid of him 🙁

Well, you just have to wait for him to die (sorry for any gene wilder fans out there) but if/when he does die, lol, he could HAUNT you bwahahahahahahahahaa!!!
