And so they have found the boy for the role of charlie! 'Freddie Highmore', the young boy who starred opposite johnny & kate winslet in 'Neverland'. Freddie actually landed the role through kate winslet...... when kate found out that tim was looking for a young boy 2 play charlie she put forward the name of freddie 😄😄

johnny.d.girl, its due to start filming in june sometime, and is due to be released sometime during 2005! 👆

Yes, Marilyn has always shown an interest in the Willy Wonker character and I would like to say that he would bring a darker side to it but anyone who knows Johny knows that dark movies are his forte. However, even though it's Tim Burton (one of the best for dark movies) I still can't see him making it that dark or controverial enough to have Manson play it although manson might be able to act it really well and surprise us all by not using his usual artistic image shall we say.

I don't know, I've never seen him act in a film so I wont judge - but anyways this is his Smells Like Children album cover but I swear there was one where it showed the purple suit better (he's dressed as Willy Wonker):

Lol for some reason I've suddenly imagined the film ending up like a modern version of The Rocky Horror Picture Show 😛 but nah obviously they wont take it there - I think Tim has shown us that he can do whimsical 'light' fantasy with Big Fish (but also mildly annoying at the same time) but if he goes the darker route it could be a really cool 'family' (aka The Nightmare Before Christmas) horror flick which wouldn't be too bad but would surely cause an uproar from the die hard WWATCF fans.

it is a bad idea for a remeake..wat r they gonna make new in it? its not a exciting film. Some movies should be left alone. The texas chainsaw masicre was a good idea for a remake but come on i predict that every movie in the universe will be remade!

Sure. I'll see this. I did like the original, but I can be down with a new one. I can even see Depp playing the role and I'm not even a big fan.

Hollywood should really only remake movies that need to be remade.

While the team of Burton and Depp sounds awesome, The original movie is a classic, it doesn't need an update.

i personally felt that willy was NEVER a classic, just a good film, a classic has to have a good plot and storyline, that it does but its still purely a kids film

isn't Johnny Depp gonna be in that movie....
