I just love Tool. Maynard is amazing so are the rest of the guys. I can't wait for their new album to come out.

I don't understand why people say "the rest of the guys."

Maynard is only one fourth of the band you know. They play a bigger part than he does. They do, after all, create the music.

I've always loved Tool musically and thought they were one of the tightest bands ever, but as strange as it may sound I can't stand Maynard. To me he is just a whiney little kid with an axe to grind who uses big terms to pass himself off as a psuedo-intellectual. I'm sorry but just because you read books on philosophy and stuff it doesn't make you Plato. He's got so much talent and power in his voice he just wastes it on petty bitching. It's a shame really.

Thanx for the heads-up. I know there are people out there who worship Maynard, I've met a couple, and they have every right to if that's what they want. I was listening to Tool while I was still in High School some ten years ago and I thought the same about him back then. Nothing changes.

If Maynard's lyrical style is considered whiney now, I don't know what rock singer ISN'T whiney. If Maynard is whiney, then so are James Hetfield, Chris Cornell, Robert Plant, and truly almost all the rock and metal greats of the past 40 years.

For being whiney, he sure does give damn good advice...
