Holes in The Matrix Movies

i thought i was asking about the holes in the matrix...things not fitting in 😑

Lilbitchiness> Yep. There’s the Matrix Question thread if you just need to get some things cleared up. 🙂
And I’m by no means all-knowing (I’d play the lottery if I was).

No. The man who was born inside the Matrix, whom Morpheus refers to was the fifth One. Neo’s immediate predecessor. The Architect just WROTE the Matrix program.
The problem with just placing people in comas are, that it’s a dangerous state of mind. We know nothing about what happens to people when they’re in a coma, some wake up, some never do. Then you could argue, “The machines would know”, but on that assumption there wouldn’t have been any movies 😉.
Then why not just drug up the entire “crop”? That deteriorates the body fast (look at drug-addicts in general). So why not simply keep the crop happy, sedated without drugs, but through “dreams.”?

yeah...the ''fifth one'' makes sense....🙂

i'll do the rest in the question thread...

That is an interesting analysis and I appericiate the fact you just stated with opinions without name-calling or insulting. Here's the response.

If they don't care about death, wouldn't it be much more efficient to have a self-destructing code so that they could do much more damage? Look at the kamikaze pilots in WWII. The only difference would be that the machines would be much more effective in that they would have superiority in numbers whereas the kamikaze pilots were a last ditch attempt. When it comes down to it, they WOULD do more damage if they could explode rather than swarming around and impaling humans with their arms. The sentinels didn't seem to be a very effective killing machine. As far as the whole "Being sure of hitting the target" argument, what if the sentinels could use their claw/arm things to cling onto a structure or person before exploding? Why said that the explosions had to be big? Just big enough to do enough damage. The machines obviously didn't care about how much damage they were doing since they felt no need to attach a parachute to those massive didding machines, right?

And just how much more damage would they have done if they would have had the ability to fire weapons? For instance, when they swarm together and they're charging the captain guy who gets mutiliated, wouldn't they have done much more damage if the sentinels could have returned fire? I just think that if the "machines" truely had an intent to "destroy" Zion, they could have done a much better job. But I still think the fighting sequence was very entertaining and I don't have any complaints about it. I'll take plot holes over reality any day.

But you have to ask yourself if they had the need?? First off, the sentinals were attempting to attack those inside APU shells and hiding in steel piping ducts and the like. So, obviously, their claws were not as effective in that respect, but they still were rather effective. There were over 30 APU's that were involved in the battle for the Dock, and it was quite obvious that the sentinals were doing well, because Mifune's APU was one of just 12 left operational (taken from the dialouge during the battle). So did they need to latch on and explode? Maybe it would have helped, and created a different type of fight scene, but I see no need for that, or for them to have had weapons. And the machines structure is so much stronger than our flesh, that one machine is able to kill a person within seconds and move on. Also consider the conversation with the Architect in Reloaded, he states, "We are becoming much more efficient at it." That indicates that the machines will, without a doubt, be better at it if it happened a 7th time. However, you also need to remember that these are the machines that enslaved us to begin with after a bloody war, do you think that they are worried about the weapons in Zion? No, they're just worried about the anomaly of Zion reaching critical mass and destroying the matrix. 😛 However I find the arguement interesting to say the least.. 🙂

Well, I still disagree, but I still thought the fighting scene was pretty badass and I'm glad they added it in. If I want to see suicidal bombers blowing themselves up, I'll save myself the 7 dollars and turn on the news.

Yes we did, but you asked the question "What happened to Smiths host when Neo deleted him in part 1" and that is the full answer. 😬 The host died, and that was why - and there was the supporting evidence. That's all...

JediHDM had already answered my question... and I was asking what happened to the business man's mind when Neo jumped into him and destroyed Smith, not just what happens to any of Smith's hosts.

I'm sorry, I had missed Jedi's post. But the answer for one host is the answer for all hosts - no matter what the conditions. That is all I was trying to say. Sorry if I offended you. 🙁 I was just trying to help...

how smith died in the end of revolutions
i mean any scientific point related to matrix

Osiris, what ship is that in your sig?? The one on the bottom left looks like the logos. Is the other one the same ship?

the one on the bottom left is Logos, and the other looks like the Neb...to me, at least...

ha ha ha...sorry kids 🙂
both are OSIRIS

ha ha ha...sorry kids 🙂
both are OSIRIS's pics

One mistake I noticed was in M1 where Neo is at work. He is in his own cubicle and is sitting looking at a blank monitor, and soon after the delivery guy comes and gives him the phone. For about 5 seconds he is actually looking at the monitor as if its meant to be on, and hes meant to be doing work, but it ain't.

He obviously hated his job and was trying to look busy.

I wonder why the machines did not find a way to clear the sky, so that they again could make use of solar energy. Maybe they like the creepy dark atmosphere, but with all the rain, they must have big problems with corrosion and short curcuits 🙂
And another question, why don't do they expand to space? Or did they already? And who is this "person" who speaks with neo in the end of the movie, is he like the Borg woman in Star Trek First Contact, the individual where no individual can exist?

I never really thought about the machines never unscorching the sky, there must be a reason, unfortunately that reason is unknown to me.

What rellavence to the movie does them being in space or not have??
They couldn't survive in space, they need humans or sunlight.

Neo spoke to Deus Ex Machina which is "God in the Machine".

....so yeah ✅

osiris> you're joking with me, right? The osiris is never shown, aside from the fact that the pic in the bottom left is Trin and Neo is Revolutions...

i think hes not actually looking at the monitor like its supposed to be on... hes feeling really wierd after speaking to trinity and getting told off by rhineheart.. hes all messed up and edgey.. hes just doing nothing.. 🙄

Sorry. I was talking about what would happen to the host's mind.

matrix plot holes

the matrix revolutions was an alright movie but there were many plot holes like
#1 why did the talking head want neo to distroy smith. couldnt the floating head guy just turn of the matrix?
#2 at the end of the movie the maker of the matrix says that the people in the matrix will be released. isnt that a bad thing becaouse they live of the humons?

thats all i got for now if anny one has anny more post them and i might be able to fugure out the holes in ur plot holes 😉
