God had nothing to do with me quitting. I have everything to do with it...

You answered your own question in its postulation. God is not a what.

I believe He gave man the oportuntity to create himself. That is what all the jelousy and hatred is all about. Others trying to infinge on one a nothers divine timetable.

The answer. Proof of God

Can God do a mirical to God. That is the only way man will ever be satisfied that it is the Lord.
In fact He answers that submission in the Bible where He says"Even when you are with me you will be in need." It means more than i just said but here it is applicable.

OK I got very little of what you just said.

But what if you don't believe in the bible or Christianity?

then your condemned to a life of pain and torture with no reprieve...while the believers will live a life in paradise...

for a merciful and forgiving God...i just find that hard to believe

I think thos thread shoudl be deleted or closed because its gonna end up mimicing all the other god threads.

Those are called "hear-say"

can you please provide a reference of some sort? Or was this just something that your pastor told you on Sunday?

🙂 NO its not something our pastor told on Sunday or any other given day, but like i've said before, you tell people still will give an excuse.
oh and the heart valve, the dr. told the mad that it must be from God, my hushand was there when that happened
the little girl was a friend of ours, the cancer she stood up in church and told them of that, and the headache, was me 🙂 You can give all the excused you want but the fact remains these did take place, just as Jesus did miracles and healings. 🙂

God wants us to worship him, pray to him, Love him and give are cares and problems to him

uhh didn't know i was talking about you when i said, that hun. I was talking about my mom, the desire immediately left her. 🙂

Well, when you pray for that specific thing, and it happens, you don't thk thats divine intervention? lol like i said, some people will alwys come up w/a reason of some sort just cuz they don't want to believe there is a God.

as I said tons of it is figure of speech namely the miracles and the healing

So, you believe what you chose to believe in the gospels? and in another thread, you're arguing w/me on healings and miracles lol whats up w/that then? 😉

🙂 hmm Where is that found in the bible, and exactly what are you meaning ? 😉

The answer? Proof of God. Where?
What does God being able to do miracles to God have to do with ordinary people being in need?
Where's the proof of God?

If god did not exist then it would be necessary for man to create him - someone said that, or something along those lines...

god is a placebo, hes something people can base their morales and ethics on, nothing more...god is what u make of him, he doesnt necesarilly have to exist

FE> By your own admission you take the Bible literal. But how do you deal with the things that are not IN the Bible? Important things – such as how the different colours of human beings appeared after Noah’s Ark touched ground again.
Who’s being rude to you? Humour is allowed around here – Not everyone believe what you believe. Asking if “Buddhism is worshipping a statue” is ignorant at best, and rude at the worst.
And Darth has repeatedly been trying to tell you this: No one says you can’t ask questions. Please find the guilty one who said that and make a “quote” so we can see. Darth merely said what I just said above – ignorant at best, rude at the worst.

And as I wrote in reply to your PM: Your quotations from the Bible doesn’t tell us where the different skin-colours came from.

And WhiteEagles post still stands – even if you’re not a catholic. The Bible was NOT written by God, right?

And: Are you open-minded about your religion? Have you ever asked if it could be wrong?
You can’t prove the non-existence of a thing.
Let me show you why that is so. Let’s say I claim rein-deer can really fly, and you say, no they can’t. I then ask you to prove it!
What can you do? You have to find every single rein-deer on Earth and toss them out from the Empire State Building, to show me they can't fly. And then I can always claim it’s a special kind of reindeer, that the flying reindeer hasn’t been born yet, that you haven’t looked all over the world, or that it’s reindeer from a planet around Sirius. Eventually I’ll be asking you to search the entire Universe to make sure that no reindeer, anywhere, at any time in the entire Universe can’t fly.
Logic dictates that it is ME, the one who makes a positive assertion, that has to prove it. I have to find the reindeer that can fly and show it to you.

Queeq> No, did I say you WROTE it? But you say you BELIEVE it’s the truth, so don’t whine when I ask why and point to inconsistencies and obvious flaws.
I agree that Hebrew words can have many meanings, and this is one of the reasons behind faulty translations and inconsistencies in the Bible.
“You're moving into a very complicated issue here wuth science, ice ages, language, Sumerians...”
No, I’m just sticking with the topic.
”But it's pretty clear you don't care about the topic, your knowledge is limited and you show very little sign that you want to learn more about it.”
Don’t pretend to know what I know, and don’t take the cowardly way out, by claiming I’m not interested. Answer my questions instead.

”You just want to be right, so BE right. the Bible is all nonsense, you win. Good show.”
Coward. 😉

such a strong religious movement as chrisitanity that it has 1000 of different congregations. The bible with the NT is so clear that even it followers cant agree on how to follow it. 😎 💃 yeah they should have called it confusionty in stead of chrisitianity

well all of the other 999 christian relegions were formed around cathlocism, they just didnt like little parts of it, so they went off and formed their own relegion, for example, the protistant church came to be because they were in protest of the catholic church. 🙂

Vaya the Elf> But a parent doesn’t give a child freedom to do ANYTHING it wants. According to Christianity God is omnipresent and omnipotent – he’s far more than us mere humans. So if we are his children he should take care of us. A good parent won’t let a child play with matches or fire, because the child does not know all the consequences of its actions. So should God not give us all the freedom that we can’t handle – but he does.

FE> So you’re… hearing voices??
Okey dokey...

FE> How do you know that?
How can you be sure God doesn’t want us to help our fellow man instead of wasting our time worshipping him, praying to him and loving him?

this whole thread gives me a headache 😑 I fail to see why people have to convince other people to view God the way they do. You either believe him or you don't simple as that. I myself have my own idea of what God is and Im sure there are many differing opinions. I also know there are people that deny the very existance of God. FINE, it's their opinion and their choice in their destiny. What I DO object to myself is being preached to in any way shape or form outside of church and I dont understand why there are people that feel the need to do that. A person's religious beliefs are an intensely private matter IMHO. Finally I beloeve we all need to be a little more tolerant of other peoples religious views wether we agree with them or not, and just accept them rather than trying to convert them.
