Oh, I don't think you get the show over there, but I saw this morning on television that Britney was going to be on Good Morning America next Tuesday morning. Maybe you could stream the video.

💃 I have the commercial!

Urgh! Outrageous! I loathe that song. It's definately the worst one ever released.
It's actually very popular amongst the fans. In fact, I think I'm the only fan who doesn't like it.

If I were a fan I'd be right there with you loathing it too.

Ahhh, thank you! I don't feel like such an outsider anymore!

Shadow

This is a very formulaic ballad similar to tracks I've noticed popping up on the radio stations in recent times. A.L.A. Kelly Clarkston, Ashlee Simpson, and the like.

Shadow has three elements that are synonymous with these types of ballads: The emotional statement in the chorus with the anonymous girls backing her up; the deep yearning in her voice that begs for the truth to surface; and the undeniable fact that the song author (Britters in this case...sort of) plagurised literary novels to come up with lines this complex.

Honestly, I don't see any difference between this unreleased track and the radio's released trash. (haha)

Oh; Shadow.
Right up there in my favourite ballads which is odd really considering as it reminds me of someone I'd rather not be reminded of........Weird.
Anyway, I love that song. I think it's one of the rare songs that shows Britney can actually sing. I therefore post a picture of Britters singing it live on her Onyx Hotel Tour

Hey, you said it, not me.

Anyways, I think it's funny how people try so hard to get to know someone in a relationship and then once it's "officially" over - POOF! - all that work is out the window. I understand why, of course, but it's still a silly concept if you step back and look at the big picture.

Don't feel like I'm worthy of discussing emotions with? Fine! sadwalkYou can just...

Breathe On Me

Yuck! puke Either the guy Britney wants to exhale on her has traded spit with her before or is under the influence of a lot of Mento's, 'cause I sure as hell don't want anyone's rank breath coming in my direction. Unless we're swapping spit, of course.

On to the pulsating song: Britney (or a vocal double) seems really enthralled at enticing this breath, as she portrays in dream-like fashion over the chorus. This song is also the most difficult to understand the lyrics because if you turn it up to where you can understand them, everyone can hear the bass beat and the 'Breeeeeeeathee...Onnnnnnnn...Meeeeeeeeeee" part, which is not a part of my job descrtion here at work. But that's the last time I checked - it could have changed. I'll ask my boss.

Hey, I went to Eastbourne for the weekend and wasn't around for emotion chats.
Anyway, what did your boss say? has he re-evaluated your job description? I certainly hope so! I have my own office, so I'm always listening to music.
Breathe On Me. At first I liked it. Then it occured to me that it sounds like a Kylie Minogue song. Seeing as I don't particulary like Kylie Minogue, it went down in my estimation. It's the song used for the Fantasy commercial, and live performances of it involve Britney in her underwear simulating various sexual positions with some guy with a chessboard on his head.
Funnily enough, this upset numerous parents who felt that the Onyx Hotel Tour should have come with a warning to small children......

Everytime

**ALERT, ALERT**
Automatic score deduction for music video being over-dramatic!

This time we get a little bit of Tori Amos on this one. In fact, Miss Amos might be playing the piano as well, because "Everytime" sounds a bit like "Silent All These Years." Piano ballads are a good thing for artists like these because it gives them a chance to show off vocal talent that's usually covered up by explosions, synthesizers, and backup singers on the rest of the songs.

It's refreshing to see someone admit that "everytime I try to fly / I fall without my wings / I feel so small / I guess I need you baby," but I don't see how slitting your wrists in a hot tub is going to get this dude back.

Maybe it's me, but I think the ballads are improving as the albums progress in time. Great job - Too bad for the auto-deduction, though.

You disapoint me! She doesn't slit her wrists in the bath! That's a common misconception. What you can see on her wrist is her kabbalah band. She actually suffers a head injury after being attacked by a photographer at the beginning of the video; becomes unconcious in the bath and drowns.
A popular rumour which has never been confirmed by Spears is that this song was Britney's response to Justin's Cry Me A River.
The song itself is my favourite of her ballads. It's the first song that she ever wrote, and I find it to be very simple and beautiful.

Who's the bloke that rescues her from the hot tub? Is she dead at that point?

I think the fact that her charm bracelet is confused with blood is no accident. I think the director wanted the "Oh, My God!" effect when viwers first saw it.

However, if people see the whole video and still think her wrists are slit, they must not be paying much attention.

Trust me on this one. Bracelet can be clearly seen whilst Britters is removing her clothes to get in the bath.
Blokey is her boyfriend in the video, and considering as she looks reasonably blue when he finds her, I'm going with most likely.

Guilty

This is a very catchy song, but unfortunately, I wouldn't even classify it as a real song. This has got to be one of those filler noises many artists put at the end of a CD where there's still time left on the recording but they ran out of actual songs.

I may be hearing things, but I think The Chipmunks make a cameo on this song. If the only good news out of "Guilty" is that The Chipmunks have reunited, then I'll take it.

Again, this is a very catchy song, but I'd feel Guilty myself if I gave it a higher score than 5.

Well you gave it a much better rating than I did. I think that's arguably her worst of the unreleased songs. (Soda Pop being the worst that made an album......obviously!)
I don't really like anything about it. I don't like the words, the way her voice sounds and I think it's boring!

P.s.......if the Chipmunks release it, it would probably go up in my estimation. (We are talking Alvin and the Chipmunks here......right?)

Yes, Alvin, Simon, & Theodore. I think "Guilty" would be a perfect song on their comback tour.

Haha, The cats look great. I love those two pics and I'm in sig making mode today.

Early Mornin'

After careful analysis, I've finally figured out why this is Britney's favourite song on the album. It was co-written by herself, and her liking has nothing to do with the reverbified, monotone vocals. Here's the reason (cue the lyrics, please):

"I was shaking my ass in the streets this morning"
"Got drunk till the break of dawning"
....
"So I said, 'what the hell'"
..."Hooked up with a guy named Joe"

Well, you rated it exactly the same as me, so need I say more?
