The OFFICIAL "For those who've seen Revolutions"

alright, i know who Melchizedek was, and what Jericho was, and Who Lucifer was...BUt who/what are the others?

If you search Matsu, you get a LOT of Japanese site (surprise!), but all I find is it’s a name. Yen Kaysan is a Wing Chun style… ehrm… Theradava is apparently a kind of Buddhism…

Everything the Oracle said would come true, came true. In M1, the Oracle said that Neo would have to make a choice--on the one hand, he will have Morpheous's life and on the other, his own. Since Neo chose to save Morpheous, he had to die.

Neo dies.

You say he acts like a prince? Another name for Lucifer was the Prince of Darkness. Why was he cast down from heaven? He wanted more power.

"What do all men with power want? More power."

I saw it. I loved it.

I think people expected too much. THEY HAD TO END THIS SERIES.

The task for them is (Which is THEIR OWN fault) is that they created such a great story that, an ending would mean MANY DIFFERENT ENDINGS for anyone who see's it. Just like PArt 1...you can Interpret that movie in MANY different ways, So For Part 3 to END and make EVERYBODY HAPPY...is TOTALLY impossible.

Unfortunatly THOSE Intellects who DID NOT get thier OWN Personal/Prefereable ENDING of Choice in part 3, are Totally AGAINST what came to be.

I'll post more Later.

But This movie Kicked Ass.

please, be patient , i m going to write a lot,
and hey seniors!!!!! i need ur comments

i watched revolutions last night at my computer...
(i have the rev. DVD and i have copied it to my HDD)
i watched it again and again...
(really cool but every time i watched it i wept as well)

so, i think that the bros. made the trilogy only to teach us one thing...
"POWER OF BELIEF"
they emphasized the whole movie on this (didnt they?)

what i conclude with the NEO's death is that
"he is alive in the matrix. there is a code running for him in the matrix.
i believe that there is always a king smith among his clones who has the greatest powers and the only way to kill all smiths is to kill SMITH(king).
thats y he wanted to copy NEO (as neo had the greatest powers in the matrix and he asked in reloaded "i want everything"😉. now when he cloned oracle(who is also powerful), the new smith formed was the SMITH.
they way he laughed...made me scared..also u saw that the SMITH formed due to oracle hadnt any shades
now in the end of super brawl neo allowed himself to be cloned. this made the new smith due to NEO as the king smith. then machines killed neo which made all smiths dead.
now when all smiths died, the people who were copied by smith returned to their original appearance (thats y we see oracle and seraph in the end)...then MUST BE NEO (what do u think?)we know he hadnt any body left plugged in the matrix but as seraph and oracle are programs, so can he be. i believe that neo as a program is now living in the matrix."

and i liked the whole movie....(not trinity's death-it really made me to tears) as i had the illegal copy of rev. DVD(oooops!!! it was the cinema print) during the movie i heard laughs(when neo was alone in the mobil ave) and clappings(when neo punched smith in the end of super brawl..really cool) and cries also(when trinity died)...what da hell was dat? i cant understand...

still, i dont know the purpose of mero, persephone

i liked all of its quotes. specially,
>"cookies need love"
"what is he?" "he is you"
"your opposite. your negative"
>"mr anderson. we missed u"
>"why? why? mr.anderson! why u do this? why get up?"
"bcoz i choose to"

one last thing.... i have the movie on 2 discs
1st discs ends when neo had a hug with trinity just after when niobe allowed him to use her ship
2nd disc starts when machines attack zion and neo is blind in the ship with trinity moving to the mahcines city
i know there is missing something(probably more than something)
probably, fight between neo and bane, and the cause neo turned blind
i dont know that. tell me. also i didnt find any war between zion and machines..no APUs firing...i saw only that machines came but neo made a commitment with machines and they left...so where is the war...the photo at thematrix.com of mifune and the kid...when this happens in the movie?

Consider this

Has anyone considered the possibility that the "machine world" is not the real world, but a contingency world built for all of those people who couldn't accept the primary matrix? this would explain neo's powers in the "real" world; smith's ability to infect both worlds; why/how Zion has been built and destroyed several times; how Neo "jacked" into the train station without jacking in at all; etc. It's less of a jump than buying Neo's super powers in the real world. Heh. Maybe that's why ol Archi man is willing to "free" whoever wants to be freed.

yes, it has been discussed, and it is wrong. I am, i mean i was, the biggest proponent of the MWAM theory, but, now, due to Revolutions and PERSISTENT NAGGING (j/k, everyone, i appreciate it) i have came to realize that i was wrong and alot of other people were right...ALOT of other people...And all these things are explainable without MWAM, i was just too stubborn to accept it...if you want it explained, i request the honors, people...

Ok heres my guess on what happened...

Neo is actually the Last exile(little indian girl). For those of you who dont believe me and question how If they met each other, the answer is actually quite simple, think back to the first movie with the black cat, a glitch in th matrix, usually causing a DejaVu, but not necessarily. In this case it was a glitch that allowed Neo to go back into the real world as the little indian girl...

Not necessarily true but i think it is a good theory let me know how u feel!!

Ok where do I start.. Firstly I am very disappointed that most of you have know idea of the message this movie is trying to send and yes it does make perfect sense… So did anyone get that the oracle represents chaos (or the devil) and the Architect represent order (or god). Neo is the advocate of the oracle and agent smith of the architect and how one can not be without the other because there must be BALANCE.
As far as going to explain the other two movies I could go on for ever but here are just a few points. Firstly neo was just an ordinary man nothing special until he went to see the oracle and she decided it was time for the one, so she gave neo a cookie which as seen in the second film with the cake altered neo making him the one. I could go on for ever but I cant be bothered to.

Are u like one of those ppl thhat thinks Harry Potter is evil? CVuz youre blowing EVERYTING WAAAAAAAY out of proportion. Cuz if u try hard enough, i bet you could find something unintentionally sinister in EVERY film. Even "Babe" 😛

Thoughts on Revolutions - part 1

To DARKVIRUS' remarks, I think that there is some truth but more fiction. Yes, not everything is answered, and yes the Revo left a lot of room for another movie. However, quite a bit was implied, and many answers are given although not spoon fed.

Seriph as an angel, that's an interesting concept (I'm just joining this board, so it's the first time I've heard that.) Now of course the words Seraphim means angel, it's actually a class of angels as described in religious texts, the highest order of angel tasked to worship god endlessly. Of course Seriph guards ‘that which is most important’ in the Matrix, but I should hope that everyone realized by now that this was not the oracle, it was the future he was guarding.

Now, I haven't heard anyone ask the 60million dollar question yet. What was neo? You don't think he was human do you? You don't think Zion was a real physical place, do you? If you don't think these questions were answered, you might want to dig deeper.

Neo can see even when he's blinded. He can see the so-called real world much like he sees the matrix. Only in the place of code he sees light. He can see Smith (the program smith) inside of Bane. He can stop sentinals with his mind. Did anyone notice that when he killed bane his movements were rapid and agent like, almost as if he was in the matrix. Does anyone recall that the Architect said Zion had been destroyed six times before. Also, that there have been six incarnations of ‘the one’. Also, that neo was supposed to go through the other door so that 'The Code' he carried could be returned to the system.

All of this equals one thing and one thing only.

Neo was a program. He was the last level of control the matrix was using on the .01% of the population that needed the red pill. He was a Christ figure created to give the zionists hope, even though in truth they are all still sleeping and zion itself is an outer matrix and another level of control, they only believe they have taken the red pill.

So you might ask why Neo couldn’t see the code if Zion is another matrix. The answer is because it's encrypted or otherwise blocked. By design he is not supposed to be able to perceive that Zion is another matrix. This part is a long story. We have to flash back to part 1, to the book that neo is hiding the disk of hacks in when girl with the white rabbit tattoo comes to the door. The book is called Simulacra and Simulation. If anyone were to do some research on that book they would discover that it's all about simulation, and how there is no reality, no truth, only varying degrees of simulation. The books follows a somewhat well known theory about how no environment can be studied appropriately by someone participating in that same environment. I hope this isn't too complicated to understand, but basically Neo is breaking the rules at the end, he is beginning to be able to study the Zion environment even though he is participating in it. I do not think he even realizes that he is a program and that Zion is another matrix, but he is on the edge of that awareness. He’ll get it in his next version.

If you need more proof, consider this. I think it's obvious that Smith was a virus. Well smith absorbed something from Neo when Neo entered his body at the end of part one to destroy him. Since when could a virus absorb data from something that was not itself, part of the system? Think about it. When Smith copied himself over regular humans they didn't leave any trace of themselves in him. When Neo had contact with him part of Neo rubbed off. Also, when smith copied himself onto the oracle some of her consciousness rubbed off. The oracle was a program and so was Neo.

At the very end Morpheus says something like "I dreamed this once, and now I can not believe that it is real". The wachowskis are playing with us. It isn't real. Morpheus is still dreaming. He doesn't know it, but Zion is another layer of control and so was Neo. Flash back again to the Architect’s speech from reloaded... "I assure you", he says, speaking of destroying Zion, "we have destroyed it six times and we are becoming increasingly efficient at it."

You can’t destroy a place six times and rebuild it unless that place is not real to start with. And why would they rebuild it in the first place, unless it was a part of their system of control? Also, why does the number of times Zion has been destroyed coincide with the version of the matrix and the instances of the one? Obviously, because they are all part of the same system, a system of control.

Thoughts on Revolutions - part 2

These movies are brilliant in that they are comprised of layers and if you do not peel the layers away you will not get the full experience. I think the wachowskis are planning not only another movie, but probably comics and animations and an entire line of matrix story expansions. Realize that neo was #6, but that 7 is the number of perfection from the bible (this is important because of all the religious symbolism). It will be the 7th incarnation of "The One" that truly saves mankind. 6 is the number of man. So this version of the Neo program was the most human so far, as given proof by his ability to love. Yes, Trinity had to die or he would not have sacrificed himself.

I believe the oracle is playing both ends against the middle. From the machine side she created Neo to be a tool of control, but in the interest of eventually saving mankind and ending the war, she created an evolving program that she knew would one day possess the power and humanity (ironic I know, he's a human program) to truly free mankind.

There's more to come from the wachowskis... a lot more.

Wow...

Ok, new member here but I just read all 16 pages (so far) after seeing Revolutions and I have not seen this idea, so here I go.

In Reloaded, we are told by the architect that there is a systemic anomoly which will cause the collapse of the Matrix and so it must be restarted with knowledge regarding the anomoly.

In Revolutions, we see the Matrix get reloaded again and I won't discuss the How of that because I think it has been done pretty well already.

But what was the anomoly? What did they eliminate from the system by reloading it? What did the Oracle and the Architect (who we seem to recognise as the Mother and Father of the Matrix) talk about when it began again?

Is war not the anomaly the Wachowski's want us to be aware of? Does war not possess the ability to destroy the world if we don't stop and rethink it and re-use our knowledge about it? Wasn't it Neo's love and the love for Shati that caused it to be reloaded?

The odd thing about this thought is that it starts to bring back the idea of a MWAM, even though I have not really been a believer in it.

Well, there now I am done... whatcha all think?

ps. I just went to bed and another thought occurred to me... In the Animatrix we understand that the humans started the war because they could not live in peace with the machine state. Did the machines capture part or all of humanity in order to teach humanity the folly of war?

- Mission (:{>

You'll have to excuse me everyone but I am new to this and so am picking up the lingo as I read what others have said and as I go. I have been reading these threads since Reloaded and been tempted to reply but have not got round to it (as is the case with many new things we endeavour to do). However, having watcher Revolutions (at Zero hour) I am so blown away by it that I must now get involved. I don't know about anyone else but when I left Reloaded I knew why I was confused but after watching Revolutions the brothers seem to have done it again - only this time I did not even have a clue why I was confused! Did anyone else feel like they were driving home mourning the loss of two close friends? I even woke up the following morning feeling sad as Neo and Trinity were dead and it wasn't just a bad dream . . . or was it!
I have many questions but one which is bugging me at the moment is if Smith is the opposite of Neo (If Neo is 1 then Smith is -1) so when Smith reproduced himself in Neo they cancelled each other out (-1+1=0); how come the same did not happen at the end of the Matrix when Neo launched himself into Smith?
Thanks for you patience with a new user and I look forwrad to reading some replies.

Can someone please tell me, or at least give me the link (If its been talked about):

How did neo, when he's blinded, he still can see the world with the matrix code, eventho' its not in green code.....
Just exactly, what does it means?

I've just read 10 of 16 of the pages but do not quite have the stamina for the other 6 yet. However, as yet I have not seen any reference to what the meaning of 'Mobil Ave' is. I have been trying to work it out as to whether it is some anagram of anything. Does anyone have any clues? A friend and I wondered, as the Marovingian seemed to very very influential, whether it was a french anagram; however, as our French is dead naff I wondered if anyone else could come up with something.
Or perhaps it just means 'Mobil Ave!'

Flimode> Welcome among the die-hard fans who loved it! 🙂

Osiris> We have “The Blue Thread” for those who need a kleenex and a cookie after the end of Revolutions.
I disagree that The Matrix Trilogy is about the power of belief. The entire prophecy was a lie. It’s more a matter of not just believing everything you’re told. Make your OWN choices and believe in the choices YOU make.

Good point about the Oracle-Smith not having any shades. Probably a hint that he had the “Eyes of the Oracle.”

Neo’s fate after the Source used him as a virus-killer is anyone’s guess. His body had vanished from the crater, it might as well have been completely assimilated by the Source, as it went into both worlds (Neo screaming in agony at the white light shooting from his mouth and eyes in the real world).
It’s a matter of tastes and preferences. I don’t think Neo is completely gone either, but the Neo we knew most certainly is.

Yes, you are missing something, namely how Neo goes blind. Go watch the movie in a cinema 😄

JediHDM> The honour is… still… yours…

Furiousangel> I’ll let JediHDM explain why there is NO matrix within the matrix.

Hey y'all...it's my first time posting, but i think i'm up to speed on most of what's been said.

Didjital> I couldn't figure that out either, but I think the reason why Neo can see after he's been blinded by Bane is the same reason that he stopped the sentinals: He was linked to the source still, through a wireless connection. (There's a post in one of the Enter The Matrix threads about how he's still connected to the source.) And just as he could perceive the sentinals because he had access to the machine mainframe, so could he too see the city for the same reason; everything is ultimately connected to the machine mainframe. If you notice; that's ONLY what he can 'see'; he can't see trinity, nor the sky, landscape, etc.; only things that have a link to that mainframe (which is why he could see Bane; BECAUSE he had been taken over by Smith). Usually, there's a dichotomy of technology and religious symbolism in just about every significant part of these movies, but i'm still trying to figure out what the religious analogy for this is. Hopefully that helps yo.

Splyntyre> No, the systemic anomaly was what gave Neo his abilities in the Matrix. It was a kind of super-user access linked directly to the Source (hence why it also works outside the Matrix).
As JediHDM so correctly put it in “The Blue Thread” a little piece of the fans died, when Trinity and Neo died. I know EXACTLY how your feel… You’re not alone.

At the end of M1 Smith was still an Agent and not yet a virus. Essentially Neo accidentially created the –1 of Smith by deleting him.

Mobil Ave is discussed elsewhere on this forum. Just look it up using the search feature.

Didjitalanomaly> After Neo assimilated the anomaly code at the end of M1 he COULD see the energy-patterns and electric/magnetic fields, he just didn’t know he could do it. He didn’t until the end of Reloaded.

Hokay...so having seen Revolutions, I can honestly say I love it; it was the best way to end the trilogy, and it was done in a way that didn't leave that feeling of tackiness in your mouth. I did have a couple issues with it; mainly about the first half of the movie.
Obviously, from what's been said, Mobile Ave. is supposed to be a representation of a purgatory of sorts...and i understand the practical reason why Neo is there, but once again, if there's a spiritual overtone to this part, I'm missing it. Any help about this would be appreciated. I love leaving things open to interpretation, as the best movies strive to do. But There were some things in Reloaded that seemed important, and were ignored or only lightly touched on in Revolutions. Namely, the nature of the Merovingian, Persiphone, and Seraph. What bugs me about the Merovingian is this; if the bros. wanted to make reference to someone who wanted more power, they could have chose ANY royal bloodline, but they didn't. For those who don't know, the Merovingians are a royal house that supposedly are decendants of Jesus and his brother James...so i can't help but thinking that there's something we're missing? maybe that's just me. And it really seemed like Persiphone was going to have a bigger role, but hey, it's all good. Yes, some things could have been better, but this was a damn good movie, and you can interpret it SO many ways, which is about the best you could ask for from any movie. wo0T! 😊
