Okay, since you guys find this to be a good idea, this is what Barbarossa says he wants to do.

He wants to run as fast as he can towards the helicopter to try and stop it from taking off (he hasn't told be yet how he plans to do this...but I'll post it when he does), and use Shell of the Turtle as defense.

Sprint! Sprint! Sprint!!!

😑 I just got this really weird vision in my head: Ares the Cheeleader. I'm scared now.

You won't make it to the copter in one action! You get between barricades in one action! So maybe you want to re-think that? No point getting killed on a sprint to nowhere.

It really does help me if you specify which guys, folks. If you just say 'a guy; I will always fire at the least favourable target.

TM, the guy gets a reflex attack on you as well. +3, a damn good shot and lucky you said to do the Shell, as you twist out of the way! You then perform your Jump! You roll +3- nice! The already hit bad guy is propelled backwards and falls from the building!

Ares, I have to rule that action illegal. You used more bursts than you have, firing more bursts than are legal on one target, at a target TM has already killed. So no Very Fast actions from you this turn, though not a huge difference as you will soon exert anyway.

Burn, let's see...

Three bursts at a guy on the left side. You roll +1 for a final total of 17. Your dodging target has a defence of 13, so that is a Hit for 4. But ooh! With +2 Mundane Killing Power from the assault rifle and +2 from Coppertop Killer, that is a kill! Yay!

Then you have to reload.

The you fire again at the centre barricade. You roll evens. A Hit for 3. Darn! Close.

That is one action and two exertion.

Then you fire at the guy at the second centre barricade. You roll -2 for a Hit of 1. Darn it!

You fire at the guy next to him. You roll +1. A kill! Yay!

Then you are out of ammo, and lose an exertion.

Fire, you charge down the other guy at the centre, who gets a reflex attack on you (his buddy is too dead to aid him), which you use Shell of the Turtle againt. Evens- a miss. You strike! +1, giving you a 15. A Hit for 5, which with what Burn just did is a kill!

Bad guys fire back! 13 shooters at six targets- much better! Extra shot goes at Fire, in the centre and looking nasty.

First of all, though, the copter gunner fires again.

+6 at Burn- typical, a 16 and still a miss! Rest of it all misses as well. Bah, I'll get lucky soon...

Burn, shots on you are -3, evens. Get back to the Nursery, guys!

Ares, you get a +1, -2, not good enough.

San, I am a bit fuzzy about your defences at this point, not having focus enough to Shell dodge the lot. Nonetheless, you are hit for 7 damage and now Wounded, I am afraid! A bullet strikes the rear of your thigh. OW! Damn it!

Fire, you had enough focus for anothet two such dodges. The +3 on you therefore just misses, phew! The evens misses. Oooh, and a -1 on the shot that could have taken you out- safe! Well, about time you had some luck.

Barb and Heph, both safe.
And the Helicopter leaves the ground...

You can, though I was exceptionally lenient in ggving you cover from that action before then!

We were alreayd kinda questioning the wisdom of just pelting it down there before it looks safer. Still going to risk it?

I think it is all the other gunners that are the main problem, Heph, not THIS action but after!

Ares, you open fire. That cover is still a pain, though, especially as you are wounded. You roll evens- not good enough, sadly!

THen you bring your fire to the right. +3, for an 18. Ooh! a Hit for 2! Better than nothing!

I think with your wounds, Galder, that cover is proving too much for you.

Still, might as well do what I can. And make those exertions get the hell away from me with very fast actions only from sitting still.

I think I have one more Very Fast action this round, no?

Errr, yes, but if you use it you don't lose the exertion. Because three Very Fasts= one full action, you see. If you use less than three you lose exertion.

"Are you sure there are no hardlines in the direct vicinity? Any adjoining empty rooms?"

Dallas answers.

"Quit whining, Mors!" he says. "Your vitals look fine. And I need people like YOU to deal with whatever happens when we get this Ni Zhan bug squashed! Burn and Ares might be good shots but they are not great conversationalists!"

This turn I want to use laughter of the fox on one of the gaurds, then willowstep for a defense.

My apolgies, Castor, I must have missed that. Technically I should have had you shot at as well then but I am feeling lenient.

Ok, in that case, this is a GREAT time to tackle those guys as they cannot fire back. However, would you object to that being an Eye rather than Laughter of the Fox? By the same token their unloaded guns are not much good for a Laughter.
