Link's mirror shield reflects magic anyway....so meteor wouldn't be able to be cast on Link. I still don't like the idea that Seph can jump straight over Link and cut him up from behind. If Seph jumps at all he'd leave himself open to attack. Unless of course he did some kind of jumping attack or a jump/spin attack. I dunno...drugs r kind to me apparently.

i dont know how open Seph would be if he jumped, the dude can leap about 25 ft in the air. I think the best chance link has is hes gonna have to stick and move for a bit then try to catch Seph in the face with his shield, its the only thing he wouldnt expect.

Back your statements up, and I'll believe them. Where in FF7 does it show how good Sephiroth is in a duel? All it shows him is murdering people with the swords, that doesn't take much effort. In battles, he uses spells more than swords. Link uses his sword ALL THE TIME. Not to mention the boomerang, bombs, hookshot, etc. Sephiroth would be destroyed.

there is absolutley no point in saying he uses more magic than his sword, sephiroth is a VILLIAN you dont control what he does.
If you wanna sit for an hour a day slashing at a tree with link be my guest, but that dosent give him a edge what so ever.

The fact that Sephiroth is a villian is another point against him. We're talking video game characters here. How many games do you know where the bad guy wins the fight?

And for all you people that keep calling Link fruity, remember this: Sephiroth was voiced by a member of N'SYNC. It don't get much fruitier than that.

first off....i still say Crono would wreck shop on both those bitches at the same time.

2nd, Seph is a bad ass...but the dude looks like he's wearing a dress in his game. (poor graphics)

3rd, where in the hell does it say that Seph could jump 25 ft. and how does jumping 25 ft in the air constitute any sort of advantage. The higher he jumps...the more time Link has to set himself up for attack.

And for the arguement that Link would have slower reactions because he's got this huge shield. In both games neither character has any problem wielding their weaponry...so the shield doesn't make him any slower. And in the case that you think it would make him slower...then the masamune and it's awkward size and as-of-yet undetermined weight should also be considered a factor that slows down Sephiroth.

Lose the tunnel vision guys. If speed and fatigue can be a factor for Link, then it should be considered a factor for Seph too. because i've never seen either character stop running or fighting in order to "catch their breath."

ummm i dun know about you...but i never lose to the final boss. Usually there's some hidden boss or sidequest boss that kicks my ass...but never the last guy.

and Link doesn't NEED fairies...he can just use the potion of life (the red one) cause the blue and green both involve magic restoration.

and correction. Link has a tunic, a shield, and flesh. Seph has no shield just psuedo football pads and flesh.

But if you want get technical about defensive abilities...then there's the flaw in this comparison. Because you can't compare a turn based RPG character and his stats vs. a live action RPG character and his unknown stats.
