You asked me who I would say is as good or better, just so you can say "No, they're not.", I've been there a million times and it's pointless. It's not about my taste, or your taste, or anyone's taste.

It's about you saying you can't make the claim of "These bands are as good.", you can, if you think they are. Antiquity (That means older) does not give bands an untouchable barrier.

if you did name a few bands you think are better than the beatles and i did say they 'no thier not', why would it matter anyway.

but i like the beatles and there have been bettr bands i think

but at the moment the only bands that i think would compare to them would be red hot chillis or...... ill come back to you
