I could see that, but it would be quite risky if the enemy decide it was worth it to take out the yellow flash.

His sword handles are at the *top* of the sheaths, his hand at the bottom. He couldn't draw a blade from that position anyway.

Page

There's only one sword in his back-sheath from the moment Minato appears even in the panel where his hand is further back.

Bee was simply ready for him.

As of this chapter Kabuto is definitely S+....but still pretty lame.

taking out Itachi while he was in the middle of trying to be a badass. So we're not going to see Izanami yet and Madara is still going to kick the shit out the Kages. This works pretty well, and could also provide the opportunity for Sasuke to show us what EMS does

Man, this was a cool chapter. Best of the fight. I wish it would last cause it was cool to see Kabuto be all "FAWK YOU PRICK" and cut Itachi in half. And the way the Uchiha got out of that genjutsu was cool.

Izanami seems like the time-charging thing is something of a disadvantage. It's not as quick as it's partner jutsu.

One observation I saw elsewhere- the 'ninja emerging from Kabuto' thing was him using Sakon/Ukon's kekkei genkai ability to make them.

Yep. Kabuto has sure become a mix of tons of things. Orochimaru powers, Sakon/Ukon powers, Tayuya powers, Jirobo powers, Kidomaru powers, Kimimaro powers, Sage Mode powers, and his own medical ninjutsu.

It's actually pretty entertaining to see this kind of mad science applied to battle.

and not only that, but Kabuto seems to be pretty good at using their various abilities/ninjutsu too. it's almost as if he's had this ability for quite some time now, but just never had the need to use it. I wonder if there are other ninjas he's absorbed or whatever.

Kay, Kabuto's a badass. Most definitely S+ at this point.

Also, guess this chapter has finally confirmed that Sasuke does not have Tsukuyomi.

He's still pretty lame; I'm not forgetting his Edo Tensei fails. Also had he not had his pedo-momment with the first genjutsu he used, he could've done this alot sooner.

That's weird considering how he has Susanoo; though I guess just having MS in both eyes is enough despite not having a technique.

Yeah, he has failed quite a bit with ET. But he did give us the awesomeness-incarnate that is Madara Uchiha. Need more Madara Uchiha. Guy's a blast.
Meh, he assumed Itachi couldn't do anything, so going after Sasuke was the smarter choice to him. Should have gone after Itachi though.

Kishi's retconned it, and/or it was more Databook BS.
As opposed to needing Amaterasu & Tsukuyomi to activate Susano'o, you just need two Mangekyou techs, much like Sasuke stated during the Kage summit.

Or Sasuke just decided not to use Tsukuyomi lol.

Well, I think it is settled, now, that Kabuto is definitely SS-, SS, or SS+: he can also use all the abilities of the sound 5 and summon Oro and use Oro's specific techs (he could use some before but now it appears he can use them all).

With Edo tensei he's SS....without it he's S+. The sound 5 techs and Orochimaru's true from bump him up considerably but nothing on the level of Current Naruto or even Nagato....who I'm still pissed he lost BTW. Though Kabuto does get points for slicing Itachi in half with his eyes closed 😄

Nah, his new techs bump him up to SS or more. He's definitely more potent that Nagato, at this point.

He can absorb ninjutsu with Jirobi, too, which, imo, was Nagato's single biggest defensive technique.

It's kind of sad seeing Orochimaru go from main antagonist to, as of current chapters, Kabuto's penis.
