Dunno if this has been discussed here before, but whatever... I asked why the black male characters have white/blond hair (i was wondering if it was just a contrast thing) and someone tried to convince me that they aren't black at all, but just really tanned Asian people.
Any thoughts on that or on the hair color?

They have builds and facial structures much more associated with black people.
They're black and they definitely aren't asian. They just have different distribution of hair color than in RL*, but it should be noted, there are blond black people in real life. Like for example, check out this kid from the Solomon Islands, where it's normal.
*Probably because it's more visually interesting when drawn in a B&W series, contrast like you say.

i guess when you have giant animals and tailed beasts walking around, fish-men and plant-men aren't all that weird.

well, thailand, philippines, etc have people who are passable for black anyway, so it's not necessarily like, american black. killerbee is modeled after raven from tekken 6, though, and he's into hip-hop and all that, but he's almost an anomaly within his villain on that note

But I don't know...something just feels off. Kishi is dropping some pretty obvious hints that he is Obito but dragging it out in a manner not unlike what he did with Madara escaping the Edo Tensei release.
