Not really sure. Did you see that in the anime or manga?
Sasuke has shown more mastery than Oro when it comes to pure-swordplay I think, primarily because Orochimaru rarely relies on swordplay.
Manga, here.
There's also more in the anime earlier in the fight (this video, around 1:40.
To be fair, there should have been a few more sages than that, but yes, I understand this point. There are a few techniques out there that should be beyond S-Rank, but meh, I view S-rank as a rank with indeterminate upper limit potential, i.e. there is no "roof".
Agreed. S-class just seems to translate as "Broken."
Kakashi's Raikiri may technically be S-class as well as Chiyo's 10 puppet technique, but so is Sasori's 100 puppet technique, Orochimaru turning into a *huge* 8-headed snake, Tsunade's chakra reservoir that was enough to save everyone from Pain's jutsu, presumably the 8th-open gate move, and so on. I don't really think Sage mode is that different from that crowd, it's just Sage is a specific way of reaching uber level.

~ Side note: Raikage looked even more badass when he was young.

Pretty much.
Although, Raikiri is already classified as S-rank I think, and it isn't on the level of the "uber" techniques like Sage Mode, Kirin, Chibaku Tensei & so on.
Kamui on the other hand is uber; but it's saddled by Kakashi's relatively moderate amount of chakra.
I hope we get to see Kabuto using that 8 headed snake technique to great effect. It was beaten far too easily by Itachi's Susano'o IMO.

I remember when people said Bee would have an easier time controlling his Biju because hachibi was really docile, and I replied that the he was probably only so docile because Bee controlled him, not the other way around. Looks like I was right.

This seems oddly similar to Ichigo's vizard training. Wonder what insane stuff Raikage and Killer Bee were doing in their youth.

Kyuubified Heartless Hollow Naruto.

Kudos to Bee though. He faced similar problems that Gaara and Naruto faced, and apparently took it a lot better than they did at first.
Raikage's to thank for that though 313

Meh, I just though that signified how Jiraiya and Minato both lived on through Naruto.
But the whole thing about 'surpassing' though, kind of more than proves my point about Nartuo.

If he had a little PIS on his side like Naruto, he would have. Teehee. 131
Naruto had knowledge of Pain, perfected Sage Mode, had an uber super duper final move in the Rasenshuriken, and had the pwnzors book at his disposal. Hardly PIS when it was built up and planned for for many many chapters. estahuh

Improvising strategically is better than just improvising on the fly if you ask me, especially when you have the strategic expertise that Shikamaru does. He also plans out different outcomes for each of his steps.
Planning a strategy out, many move in advance, is not improvising, that's planning.

I agree though, Naruto's an excellent improv fighter.
I particularly liked how he "improvised" against Kiba...
Yes, Kiba got quite a crappy deal with that fight. 1234

True this. Toss in the Byakugan as well, as doujutsu are the ultimate hax in Naruto-verse.Sharingan gets too much lovin' by Kishi.
I thought you were a Sasuke fan? I might be confusing you for someone else?

Doesn't mean that those three are the only ones though. I cannot recall if there is any statement that suggests that those three are the only Sages, but I guess it's up in the air.
Has anyone else been said to have surpassed the 4th and Jiraiaya? 313

Indeed. I don't think Neji would be able to get past the R.Armor, after all, even a Chidori could barely pierce him.
Poor Kento, gettin' his clan bad-mouthed on the internetz.
