i was going to post spoilers, but this manga is getting on my nerves at the moment.

lol Yea, that whole conversation was just a bit weird...

For some reason I really want to punch Naruto in the face.

Well Kushina did subdue Kyuubi, and take him away. What else was he suppose to do?

I knew that Naruto and Kushina would talk, but I didn't expect them to just tie up the kyuubi for a while and then chat. made no sense considering Naruto's supposed to be draining the kyuubi's chakra, but it can't be helped.

hopefully the next chapter makes up for the delay in the fight. maybe Kushina will have a role in the fight.

To bad Naruto didn't get Kushina's special chakra, seems to got just about everything else from her. Including Dattebayo.

This chapter sucked. Seriously, I have no problem learning about his parents, but there is a time and place for that stuff, and it isn't in the middle of an important battle that was already on the lame side.

eh, well considering that the battle is taking place completely in his mind, i wouldnt say that its that far fetched. he needs to get some inspiration from somewhere, because right now hes getting his ass kicked, and its not a physical battle but a battle over essentially himself.

Maybe he did. It would explain why talk no jutsu is such a huge thing, and why so many guys are inclined to become gay for him.

It's pretty much a battle of will-power, much like Sasuke's 'fight' with Orochimaru inside Orochimaru.
That aside, for some reason, I thought their conversation was weirdly cute. I especially liked the part where Naruto told his mom that she took after him.

I'd kinda expect Stone or Sand or Mist to do it sometime too.

True, but I'd rather have the ability to 'regen' thrice at least, as opposed to a one-time massive chakra surge that is primarily intended to regenerate you completely.

But the chakra can be used for anything- she used it to nullify the effects of a city buster.

There's nothing preventing her from using it for offense as far as I can tell.

It's way more flexible.

maybe it's just me, but i knew naruto would eventually be able to fight with the kyuubi's power, but damn, not like this.

kushina basically gift wrapped it's power now.

Well, I think she bought him a reprieve/aid, but I do not think he's won by any means. I do think he'll have to fight on his own to win.

Ok, we've got a fair number of Ss and As, maybe we could consider lower-ranks now.

Ebisu- B or B+. Even though he's special jonin in rank, that's mainly because of teaching ability. Low chakra and physical stats put him in more chunin-level combat ability.

Iruka is, probably, a B.

Most of the Konoha rookie 11 are Bs or B+. Ino might still be a B- (learn the upgraded version of your move, girl! It's a devastating move, if you can just manage it without the weakness like your dad), Kiba's probably B+.

from my understanding most chuunin are C-Ranked while b-rank leans toward jounin. a-rank is for higher tiered jounin and anbu and s is for kages and sanin and the like.

obviously that doesnt mean a whole lo, but i think thats the expectations work at least

It might be just me but this fight for the kyuubi's chakra is turning more and more into a slow-paced version of Ichigo's fight for dominance. Learning about Naruto's lineage was pretty nice however it really doesn't help if the battle is just going to be on pause.

On that note, you do have to admit that this is looking like Ichigo's fight. Naruto gets a story from his mom while Ichigo is given a life-long lesson by an imaginary Kenpachi.
