It might be just me but this fight for the kyuubi's chakra is turning more and more into a slow-paced version of Ichigo's fight for dominance. Learning about Naruto's lineage was pretty nice however it really doesn't help if the battle is just going to be on pause.

On that note, you do have to admit that this is looking like Ichigo's fight. Naruto gets a story from his mom while Ichigo is given a life-long lesson by an imaginary Kenpachi.

Well it's not over yet.

I really enjoyed this chapter.

I liked the love story.

And for you heartless bastards that have had parents all your life: step outside the candy coated world of a two-parent home and think like an orphan that never knew your parents. What would you want to know from your mom, the most, if you got to meet her spirit (while already knowing her real life job, people that knew her, etc? Most likely it would be something related to your deceased father. Only fitting that Kishi wrote something about how they fell in love.

One of the best chapters in a while, IMO. I liked it.

Also Naruto had someone living in his head capable of restraining the Kyuubi at any time? How come she never did anything when he went berzerk? How about when Minato said he could only re-seal Kyuubi once, I guess too bad it wasn't Kushina or he could meet them both in there.

I'm guessing she only has one shot too, and her one shot might be reserved specifically for this situation, of helping Naruto master the kyuubi, giving him a nudge if he starts to be taken over.

Her aid also takes a somewhat different form than the seal-repair.

Maybe Minato didn't realize a piece of Kushina went in with her chakra? Yea doubtful since it's Minato but....

I just think it's cheap. Minato was the deus ex machina during Pein, this on the other hand was supposed to be Naruto's personal struggle, not just another time for some plot device to come to his aid and solve everything.

Nothing's solved really. He still has to take the chakra from Kyuubi himself.

I am saying he should not want to talk to his mother about their relationship while fighting an ancient mythical beast of legend for control over his soul.

As we see, time is still flowing, unless Kushina is so ttly ossum she can restrain the Kyuubi foreva (In which case that makes the whole "Fight with the Kyuubi" rather cheap, if she just gift-wraps it for him), it just seems like a bad time.

Although really that did not bother me too much. The scene itself was kind of... awkward. I can't place why, but to me it all... Tastes like diabetes. 😐

Still alot better than Bleach currently though.

There's nothing preventing her from using it for offense as far as I can tell.

It's way more flexible.

To be fair, she gave her chakra to Katsuyu who was able to nullify the effects.

Both are flexible and limited i.e. one can have a variety of uses but is limited to one-use per battle, while the other can be used a number of times but is limited to regen and uses up a lot of chakra.
Tsunade's just happens to be more flexible and limited than Orochimaru's oral rebirth.

Ebisu- B or B+. Even though he's special jonin in rank, that's mainly because of teaching ability. Low chakra and physical stats put him in more chunin-level combat ability.

Iruka is, probably, a B.

Most of the Konoha rookie 11 are Bs or B+. Ino might still be a B- (learn the upgraded version of your move, girl! It's a devastating move, if you can just manage it without the weakness like your dad), Kiba's probably B+.

I'd put Ebisu lower, probably in B- (unless we have C ranks).
Iruka, should be in the same rank as Ebisu I guess.

I agree with the Konoha rookies. Though Neji should be in the A rank. While Lee should either be in the same rank (but lower), or in the rank just before A i.e. A-.

Konohamaru should ideally be in at least B IMO. He already knows how to use the Rasengan and the Kage Bunshin at the age of 12 (just like Naruto), and made use of them to defeat the Naraka Path.

Though to be fair, it would have been better suited for a point in time where Naruto was not tangling with the Kyuubi.
